Literally everyone has dap lol xpel sells to everyone unless youre a block away from another shop. They want the sales. I know 10 shops who install it.
It definitely makes me sad after being in this industry for 15 years seeing how much greed there is now. We obviously have dap. But we always choose to hand cut windshields. Dap has let us down too many times on windshield pattern fitment and it’s wastes film.
It’s like 95% great! But it’s super annoying to cut a windshield or sunroof, shrink it and then realize it’s short if we’re lucky before installing it. So we just hand cut windshields and most sunroofs so we don’t waste the film and time.
We have XPEL DAP which is far superior to core. With our 50+ years of combined installation experience between the team we’ve tried it all. We prefer hand cutting windshields. Roll downs for the most part are plotted.
Agreed! Everyone has different preferences. It's great having those displays and examples to show customers and come up with a great option for all! :)
Wait...did y'all actually PPF the windshield? Haven't seen that done before, but sounds like a great idea. Truck looks great. Beautiful job. Can't imagine how much something like this would cost, though.
for the windshield its not exactly PPF. its a product called Clearplex. its a different material composition. but it does work great to stop most rock chips and sand pitting in windshields.
Hello. I am very impressed with your craftsmanship and technical skills. I am considering full PPF for Porsche vehicles. When working, do you remove the vehicle's side mirrors, lights, and the emblem on the rear of the vehicle before applying film? Or do you work without disassembling the vehicle? Also, I'm curious if you use an industrial knife when working or if you don't use a knife for computer printing cuts. I live 30 minutes from your business and I would really like to ask you to work on my vehicle. Thank you.
It's a sticker on the wall. We would never put anything above her that could fall on her. The paper letters on the wall on the right are even screwed into the wall and they weigh a few grams at most.
in an earthquake i would get the baby, then i would gather any important things from the wall that can break and put them on the ground dont want anything valuable falling 😅
Never EVER I would have them rip off my interior😱!! If your a perfectionist it will never ever the same again !!! And i mean that in a negative way!!! Also corrosion under the wrap is and will definitely happen!! If you care that much dry cars inner door pannels after wash and wax and garage as much as you can!! Dnt drive in snow or salt and dry inner pannels after rain
