Great reaction, I was the same lol. Hope you react to their other releases. Riize released 4 other B-sides (Honestly, 9 Days, One Kiss fansong, Siren ext. version) for their June album, RIIZING which will also include title track Boom Boom Bass and prior single releases Talk Saxy & Love 119. This album is looking solid with no-skips so far. Impossible and Honestly are my current faves followed by Siren, Talk Saxy, Get A Guitar and Memories. Actually, I like all their tracks so far, even ones which typically would be my taste like Impossible House EDM, Honestly slow song and other cute, happy, upbeat songs. You're correct, they bring a new genre with each release. The constant is their great choreo, style, vocals and their "emotional pop" sound (nostalgic, updated old school / throwback vibes).

Easy is a GREAT SONG, i can listen to it all day without beign scared of losing my ears, its very chill and you can dance to it in every way, just like smart. They have no bad songs at all.
It’s very “kpop” to have an up tempo title track but I love that the girls chose a calmer song. They keep switching it up with their songs. They keep evolving. This sounds nothing like FEARLESS, ANTIFRAGILE & UNFORGIVEN
YES! It's almost expected that a kpop title track must be up tempo. But I love exploring genres + keeping things interesting~ & that's what they're doing! The girls keep showing us versatility with different styles✨

Because it is so great, definitely give the lady the views, but maybe lower the volume a little bit and put it on in the background while you do other things. Cover the screen, don't look at it or you get sucked right back into the story... I completely get it. :)
I agree. Whether it is a chill and laid-back ballad or a BIG BOSS POWER-MOVE or a nice mid-tempo bop should not matter. As long as it is a GOOD song, memorable for whatever reason, it could be a title track. But the one thing about it is, the Title Track is basically the 'centerpiece' of the album so most of the other songs should match that energy. It would not make sense to have a Caribean Rasta song as a title track if most of the other songs on the same album are Metalcore. (obviously talking about music in general, not strictly K-Pop)
Exactly! A good song will always be good. The rest mostly depends on personal taste. And what you mentioned is true as well. Nowadays, I think albums aren't strictly following a specific "storyline" (both in terms of concept and genres) as much as they used to. And that's fine, but I agree there should always be an overall balance, especially not to include extreme opposite energies.
@@Room.212 Oh, yeah, it does not have to obey any strict 'rule' about genre. For instance, BLACKPINK's latest album has some real awesome variation in the types of songs, every song is SO DIFFERENT from all the rest that it turned into a great album! They did not stick to the usual pattern at all. But the title track was more about the group itself than about the rest of the album, so that album is literally the furthest thing from being a 'concept album' like most K-Pop Albums tend to be. And it is GREAT! But they did not do that for all of their material (I am still sad that they did not get a LOT more material over the course of seven years; what a waste of talent and their time). And I should mention, the songs on most of the albums by Dreamcatcher are quite widely varied even though most of their albums actually are 'concept albums'. Their company just knows how to do it, they have consistently pulled it off and they always just made it work somehow.
That's a great example! I agree, BLACKPINK's latest album was refreshing since they explored different styles, yet it was still cohesive as a whole. And yes, too much wasted time and opportunities. It's so unfair and upsetting :( As for Dreamcatcher, I mostly only know their title tracks, so I can't say much. But I think that's so cool, especially when done right! Ultimately, whether the albums focus on a concept or not, accompanied by an overall style/vibe or different genres, what's important is to keep it enjoyable and try to explore each group's colors + versatility. No "rules" needed~
@@Room.212 Dreamcatcher's B-Sides will never disappoint. They really are GREAT at everything they do. Most of the B-sides are not Rock, the group does just about any genre imaginable. They literally have something for everybody.

Such a good album . . all six tracts and the docu-series too. Love J Hope's voice too, especially on Lock Unlock and I Don't Know and of course, his dancing is unbelievable.
