I don't hate it.. but even after the first attempt of bringing back I.M they should stop calling it iron monkey. It's not the same and never will be. I'd be fine if they called them self supergorganizer or fink dial. The iron monkey sound died with jpm. Again, not trying to be dick like. But it's just not ever going to be like it used to be. Much love and heavy sludge.
This has been a great year for metal. I'm really enthusiastic about how much great stuff we've had. I am not sure if it measures up to the constant excitement that we had last year, but that's just my take on it.
Loved this reaction - pretty much mirrored mine when I first heard the track. 😄 I saw them do this live a few days ago and it was so bonkers and brilliant that it made everyone laugh out loud. It's VERY much worth seeing them play it live.
Listening to the title we are far from the You Will Never Be One of Us period which was really hostile and wild. Nails always comes back with rage but more classic. I find, well it remains effective on the other hand, Todd Jones once again, evolves in the singing offering here a more vomitous song while remaining in a death metal line like the title. I am a good fan of Nails, so yes it sends heavy with a thrashy groove side and a little dirt. But You Will Never Be One of Us will remain a posthumous album of their discography.

I absolutely love nails because they're so thrash and then throw in these random crushing riffs out of nowhere where you're like oh shit this is obnoxiously heavy

Interesting. I suspect these guys are intense live. They are on tour now and have a show near by later this month. I just might have to go. Nice to be catching these again.
If you haven’t you guys need to see them live. Saw them on 2 separate tours in ‘23 they have an energy that permeates the building like ive never seem before. Between me trying to film and getting my phone kicked out of my hand by stage divers and Steve having to wait for the micstand to get set back up from the carnage it was UNREAL!

Glass Garden gives me the specific feeling that I spent months restoring a ruined yacht and it's the end of the world. Now my work is finished and I'm offshore with my feet up on the railing.
