I like to watch this video in the fall before we pack into the wilderness. My dad took me on a horseback elk hunt in the fall of 1984 in British Columbia. We rode in 18 miles into some ruff country, I was 16 back then. He planted a seed that year that lives with me to this day. Trips like this are burned into your memory, do yourself a favor and take a trip like this... you won't forget it.
Each year right before I head for the high country to hunt elk I like to watch this. I can't explain how alive I feel on a horse, packing in to camp or packing out a big bull. My first horse pack trip for elk in British Columbia in 1984 with my dad... shot a big 6 point in a blizzard. My dad planted a seed that trip and 30 years latter i still love it. If you never been on a trip like this treat yourself you won't forget it.
