Not a DBSV8. It was made after the David Brown group sold the company. The name was changed to Aston Martin V8.

can you tell me which dash you used?? thinking about putting one in with a rev counter. Are the electrics all there to support the tachometer?

hello! This motor was sold a long time ago with all the electronics to it. The dashboard (Motometer) with rev counter worked perfectly with this motor.

If I'm not mistaken, the signal is transmitted to the dashboard from the electronic unit located in the glove compartment.

you can connect a wire from the coil - to the tachometer. this will give the signal. I have a aftermarket RPM gauge in mine and it works fine

Any modifications to the engine? I got the same one, but is sounds diffrent. Not as good.
