Cramps fan for 30 years but only today found out Lux was hired by Coppola to do the scream in Bram Stoker's Dracula (when he hears of his wife's death) bc Gary Oldman 'sounded too wimpy'. 🤩
Saw the Gun Club in Boston I think around 82 after Fire of Love. Jeffery appeared very fucked up mumbling through a lot of songs. I will say it was intense as the band just kept shredding through the music. Boston was very Hard Core at the time and lots of the Boston Crew showed up creating chaos stage diving and slamming everyone. I had a great time. Fire of Love is a brilliant album. I saw the Cramps around the same time, Lux was wearing a full leather jump suit and it was 100 degrees in the Channel. I was shocked he didn't drop dead from heat stroke. Kid Congo has just joined the band.
@@josejones7025 is that so? I just became a fan like a few months ago and I like their first 6 albums the most. Must be a reason I tend to call them poppers now ^^
I had heard about this band in the 80s. I had a couple chances to see them, but seeing this convinces me (without a doubt) that staying away was the right decision.
