Broken Circle, hey. Dev global war here. Can you share link of discord Global war? I create channels for english-speaking community on server. It will help people who have problems with mod, bugs or crashes. Still working on Alpha 0.5 there's still a lot of work to do.
blessed And the stuff you said about gamma was something pleasant to hear. Just play tarkov at this point, i want to see jank old graphics with funny mechanics.
you can hate on anomaly all you whant it's the reason peapole stil do modding of this game without it it would have died in western world , evrybody can play the mod they whant y can plan gamma and have fun and play the original trilogy or another mod ther is a stalker flavor for evrybody stop hating and start liking the great mod comunity that is stalker
Wrong. Stalker mods existed in the West WELL before Anomaly and were going quite strong prior to its release. Sure there is more mainstream popularity now but as a result its all far more quantity than quality with Western mods these days and the community behind Anomaly is largely terrible. I never used to get the hate for it either but as time went on the more I saw the more I understood.
@@BrokenCircle1 I sayed this with all the respect no intention to spread hate on you mate ,i understand your point but you are not obligated to play anomaly i think everyone is able to know what they like and the reason behind it i'm just happy that stalker is more popular than ever in general , it come with drawback but i think it's worth it for the community ,
I Remember back when i first tried EFP, Gamma as a duty i had 60 rounds of 7.62 on semi decent condition AK and shitty armour against full armored mercs with high end weapons that basically aimbot you , i had to find all the parts and tool kits to modify and repair weapons, ruble rewards were a joke in contrast to how difficult it was and all these quote on quote 'hardcore'ness which was more of just tedious grind made me lose the interest of the game real fast. then a russian speaking friend of mine recommended this mod and well.. what can i say it's best of both worlds honestly it's not a mindfuc grind tedious drag your balls on sand nor walk in the park base vanila easy difficulty still has great weapon models and animations this is a gem hidden in dirt
Really nice video, decided to pick up this mod and have some fun. however when i try and boot the mod nothing happens. i tried running it in compatibility mode and as administrator but it just doesn't boot. anyone else have this problem? (I got COP installed)
Hey there! That's a nice review not gonna lie. I want to recommend you a Cop mod called "STCOP", spectakill made a nice modpack you could go with or use STCOP by yourself, it would be nice to see you review it since many people say it's comparable to gunslinger. Cheers!
I was reluctant to try this mod to where i told myself: "i play Anomaly already, i don't think another sandbox mod will satisfy me more than story mods, besides we already have warfare mode". After seeing your review i put it next into my list of mods to try.
@sesad5035 While a year or two ago I would agree with you...now I just say why? Anomaly in terms of other Stalker mods is incredibly barebones and repetitive. I found another mod I'll review soon that is basically Anomaly but more vanilla focused without all the milsim bs. (Not Old World) it's more of a vanilla++ type of thing. I much prefer that.
@@BrokenCircle1 Because if I ported these maps to other mods, they wouldn't be very popular and only like 20 people will download them at best, and I also want to overhaul anomaly levels in the future (it's possible) to innovate modding as anomaly is considered as one of the hardest mods to add or change existing mapa. I'll be using detailed assets and probably do some terrain edits.
It has definitely changed. From the first time that door opens in Halo 4 and I saw that disgusting grunt, I knew it was the end. I still cried when Cortana was going into rampamcy in the final level, and when she sacrificed herself by coming into the physical world to stop The Diadact, just like I did when Cheif reunited with her and kept his promise in 3, but that was the last time a Halo campaign story brought any emotion to my soul. When Johnson died, I wept. When Captain Keys died, I mourned. When Forhammer went down in a smoking fireball I yelled in rage. When the Elites rose up in rebellion I rejoiced. When Sgt Forge stayed behind I was so proud. My heart sunk as I watched NOBLE team go down one by one. The overwhelming inadequacy I experienced as The Rookie was unlike anything I had ever been through in a virtual world. I felt absolute terror as I watched a live action cadet Lasky rally his team and lose his dear friend. I laughed so hard at Sarge and Grif, Church and Caboose. I jumped for joy as the veteran UNSC marines retold their perspective of seeing a Spartan on the battlefield in those live action commercials. Over the past 20 years so many talented hands have weaved Halo into my life. Only one company has out and out failed this beloved franchise and story. I absolutely place nearly all of the blame on them for the fact that I cannot feel a single emotion as I played Halo 5 and Infinite.
Each STALKER game has its own uniqueness. The problem is how they run. If we put the first three original games aside, I love COC, it has variation and u can do ur own thing + it runs smoothly ..
I love OP2.2... only for new levels and factions I wish they would add those to Anomaly :( but sadly its not happening... we have new levels but thats only 3 levels.... Anthology has alot of new Maps but no Factions I wish we had all like 50+ factions of OP 2.2 that would be sick maybe 1 day .... good vid downloading rn !!! <3
I haven’t finished it yet I’m only at part where I get the junkie as a companion so far I absolutely love it BUT BUT I see NPC with guns and attachments I WANT AND CANT GET like an eotec red dot site PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF FUK PUT A M4wit a red dot I hate AKs I am an AR GUY THROUGH AND THROUGH and that would make it a masterpiece UNTIL THEN
A sample of shooter games that predate Halo that had at least one of its (relatively) more unique mechanics/features in place but not all at once: (1) *MIDI Maze (1987)* - Regenerating health. (2) *Midwinter (1990)* - One open outdoor world, sniping (stationary, movement not possible), drivable vehicles (albeit with on-foot style physics). (3) *System Shock (1994)* - Weapon limit (7 slots for different or identical weapons), multiple grenade types, throwing grenades without unequipping weapon (using mouse cursor interaction). (4) *Terminator: Future Shock (1995)* - Sniping (while moving), sniper rifle with visible scope (digital display), large non-linear outdoor levels, throwing explosives/grenades with dedicated button/key, multiple grenade types (5) *Duke Nukem 3D (1996)* - Dedicated melee attack button/key (kicking, which does not interrupt shooting, albeit not very strong and incapable of backstabbing). (6) *Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri (1996)* - Squad of AI teammates to fight alongside, enemies working in small or large squads. (7) *Trespasser (1998)* - Regenerating health, two-weapon limit (different or identical weapons/items), large non-linear outdoor levels, extensive use of Bump/Normal Mapping (software rendered) on objects and characters. (8) *Goldeneye 007 (1997)* - Mixed on-foot and vehicle-based traversal (tank). (9) *BattleZone (1998)* - Mixed on-foot and vehicle-based traversal, multiple drivable vehicle types. (10) *Perfect Dark (2000)* - Dedicated melee attack button/key (only works with one gun and requires a 2-button combo to do without toggling between shooting and melee modes) (11) *Giants: Citizen Kabuto (2000)* - Weapon limit (4 slots for different weapons), multiple grenade types, dedicated grenade throwing button/key (for each type; grenade and mine), large non-linear outdoor levels, extensive use of Normal Mapping on terrain and the titular character (hardware rendered, DOT3, supported on GeForce 256 and GeForce 2 GPUs). (12) *Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis (mid-2001)* - Mixed on-foot and vehicle-based traversal, large-scale squad combat with both infantry and vehicle units, AI companions able to drive and operate gun turrets in moving vehicles, weapon limit (based on weight capacity).
1:15 Can you play as a humanoid FLESHPIG?! 🙃 1:59 I see they didn't bother to fix the problems with Anomaly's pump-action shotguns. The pointlessly over-exaggerated cocking animation that makes your character look sub-par to a rookie. Cycling the action after loading the last round even when there's a round in the chamber. Those are the only two problems, which Grok fixed in GAMMA, so I don't understand why those issues persist in mods being made after GAMMA. Or why they were ever brought into existence in the first place when 'Shadow of Chernobyl' didn't do either of those things to the Chaser (which is actually a Maverick 88, not a Winchester 1300). 2:25 What a gorgeously 1970s-looking AK-74! And the reload animation is tolerable, even! No obsolete Soviet-era "wrong-handed" reload (by "wrong-handed," I mean reloading with the shootin' hand instead of the support hand). 4:21 Bolt release, much? The LR-300 has a bolt release just like all Stoner-based rifles. Oh, well. Still a good compact five-five-sixer. Way better than it was in the core games. Oblivion Lost 2.2 did the LR-300 reasonable justice way back in 2008, revamping the in-view and in-world models, and making the sights line up so they're actually usable. I'll never understand why the LR-300's rear sight is mounted at the front of the Picatinny rail instead of the back. Eye relief matters more on scopes, and it's a short rifle anyway, so there's no reason to make the sight radius shorter than it needs to be. I know, I know. There are images of it on the internet that show it with its rear sight in that position. But that's the problem. People see a thing and they make assumptions instead of corroborating the info they've gathered with other info or taking the time to conduct analysis (which doesn't really take that long once you start doing it). So they don't think about the actual purpose of things being a certain way. Same principle applies to shooting stances and techniques. Some movie person probably saw someone somewhere do a McMillan Tilt with a handgun, a niche technique that actually does serve a purpose when done right under the right circumstances, so they went more "extreme" with it, not bothering to understand its purpose, and they came up with that "gangster-style" shooting that infested every movie in the '90s, which then went on to infect video games. 5:54 I had that exact same thing happen with a super long-jumping "man-eating" snork in Oblivion Lost 2010, but it only lasted for a split-second. Its leg stretched out just like that right after I blasted it out of the air with a VOG-25. 6:20 What if you played as a member of a Duty otryad that specialized in hunting mutants? That would basically be similar to Killing Floor. And if you could play as a mutant, it would be like monster mode in Left 4 Dead 2! Imagine playing as a FLESHPIG! 🙃 There's a S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-themed mod for L4D2. Not sure if it was ever finished, but I saw screenshots for what it was meant to be. Replaced weapons and monsters with their closest S.T.A.L.K.E.R. equivalents. The Jockey became a FLESHPIG! 🙃 6:57 Believe it or not, "muffler" is actually an acceptable alternate term for "silencer" or "sound suppressor." It makes sense. It just sounds weird because we tend to think of car mufflers.
about the "shotgun reload" it's not a animation problem, but a engine limitation, grok don't fixed it the modders did, and gamma is one of most hated mods of all time so don't use it was base of comparation or shit like that
keep in mind that most russian mods don't care for gun animations/models and stuff, this is also one of the cringiest comments that i ever see in a stalker video 💀
@@ahobacha You think it's cringe that S.T.AL.K.E.R. should be held to the highest standard? Anything less would be insulting. Let me tell you what's cringe. Reloading upside-down is cringe. Ditching mags and wasting resources in a place like the Zone is cringe.
@@judsongaiden9878 youtube keep deleting my comment even it don't having anything wrong💀 "S.T.AL.K.E.R. should be held to the highest standard" literally the only metric for the "standards" are cool animations, high poly models and graphics and literally nothing else, and it literally don't really matter, because they are insignificant things "this animation is wrong because you reload with the wrong hand" or "this model is wrong for having a thing that really don't metters in the wrong place"
I'm having problems with missing .dll files (xrAPI, xrNET, xrSound, xrCore). Haven't play CoC in a long while and I'm not sure what's causing the issue. Reinstalling the mod, installing SoC, and installing all the DirectX related stuffs still doesn't work.
@@MalstormMusic mine got "fixed" by installing vanilla CoC and overriding the files with Global War. But getting into the game there are major texture bugs everywhere 🥲
I really wouldn't say it is the best one. It's up there for sure, but there are just far too many good flavors of mods and sandbox is just a very small of them. If you guys loved the trilogy here are some mods that in my opinion captured the mysterious feeling of the trilogy: Made by Jekan: Return to the Zone(3 story campaigns and a story extraction mode), Goldensphere OGSR(based on Roadside Picnic), OGSR Legacy(pretty much a remake of ShoC with lots of cut content and user made content). Team V.I.V.E.N.T.: Incubator, Dreamcatcher(sequel to Incubator). They have more great mods but they still are hard to understand Machine translations. zaurus' crew: Apocalipsis Trilogy OGSR, Fallen star(also called "Der gefallene Stern" sequel to A-Trilogy), Last STALKER(sequel to Fallen Star) Creators/teams I forgot the name of: True Stalker(if you don't mind cutscene glassjaw), Dollchan infinity, Road to the north(story/free play hybrid, main story starts at Skadovsk), Path in the Mist, Wind of Time(it starts with timetravel from the year 2114 back to 2014 and has some big twists) All of these are standalone and can be found on moddb and if it isn't there you can find reuploads in the c-consciousness community mod-spreadsheet
@@wheatlycrab4868 thats why the russian modding community is so much more varied and interesting, most people who play stalker in the west havent played the originals.
@@SmirnoffStalker You got one thing wrong. People in the west don't play stalker, they play anomaly which has strayed so far from the original idea that it may as well be it's own thing.
@wheatlycrab4868 Anomaly sucks lol. So much creativity and content in other mods. Anomaly is painfully barebones and only has 'content' because it just makes everything extremely difficult.
The average person is usually aware of the "big" ones. CoC that started it all, Anomaly, Gamma, EFP. But good God the absurd amount of Eastern European/Russian mods that just never make it to the general public because they're only released in their own forums that are hard to find because you most don't speak Russian.
Dude, imagine being able to have a multi player mod to play this with your friends. Weather you are on the same faction or against each other. That would be amazing. Thank you for the video. Going to check this out.
I think at this point that's one of the most dreamt ideas ever, yet it's as if it's not feasible. There's that Stalker roblox like mmo but damage depends on levels and shit, I don't feel it man
Stalker multiplayer has been in development since around 2013. It's had several playable builds in the past but the most recent is very stable. I haven't played it but I've been following it forever waiting for more traction
@wheatlycrab4868 there's 5000 settings you can change to remove or alter the gun durability system. If you want to add in that immersion of maintaining your gear, add it in. If you don't, then remove it. I mean specifically the sounds and feeling of shooting the guns in that game.
@@swampasscrusader5944 I can't really see how the sounds and feeling of the guns feel different from call of pripyat for example well other than the updated models.
@swampasscrusader5944 That's not the point. Anomaly still has default settings which means mechanics and a set way of playing the mod is built around so sure it is possible to tweak things and when I did I found it to be very bland. The appeal of Anomaly is in the hardcore and grindiness of it. It has no other substance. For those who like that good for them but it is not the catch all mod for everyone like you and many others imply. Customization does not always equal good. A Bugatti has many customization options. That does not mean it's a good vehicle for a 38 year old soccer mom trying to ferry her kids around.
