@@georgioocean7629 well that’s kind of like saying the officially licensed stuff that’s sold and distributed by the NBA “isn’t legit” because the players didn’t specifically use or wear that exact one they’re selling. The idea is that it’s a homage to one that set history, but I’d also like to add that deep sea challenge is SUPER capable itself even it’s not the OG. It’s able to dive deeper than almost anyone will be able to get to!

You might be able to pull that off if you have an outstanding relationship with the dealer. I'd have to ask some friends to really confirm that but I've talked to people at Rolex about that model fairly recently. You can try it!
@@zelle2841 yep! There’s a slight yellow tint to it. If there was no tint it would be much more expensive even though it already is. But given how rare that large size is with that shape & that there were only about 2 in the market to purchase at the time of making this piece, there wasn’t even that option. It was either this one or the only other one haha

So with pink diamonds its actually gamma ray bombardment that causes lattice distortions leading to a change in the absorption spectrum of the gem. In naturals the source is earth of course and in labs we bombard them with gamma.

I really don't know what's so spectacular about this watch apart from the high price, when for a fraction of its cost you can have a Cronos Sub Diver I6009-C. This watch was tested in the press channel coming out unharmed and functional after withstanding 3000 meters or 9,842 feet of depth. It comes with sapphire crystal, NH35 caliber and 316L stainless steel case and strap. Obviously Rolex has lineage and shouts to everyone "I have a lot of money", but it is not the only one that supports such pressure. In my opinion you should make a comparison between the two. Cronos, humble watch but good quality and does the job.
honestly I hadn't heard of them before but if thats true thats very impressive for their price point, but even so the deepsea challenge can dive deeper than the Mariana trench the deepest known part of our ocean. Which is a huge feat, it had also accompanied historic explorers on their dives that made history. With these pieces its more than just the piece itself because lets be honest most people with this watch aren't going to dive in it let alone to anywhere near these depths
My point is that there are micro companies that are making good quality watches for much lower prices. Although the Rolex goes a little deeper than the Cronos, no one is going to dive that deep in both cases so....why go deeper into your wallet if they actually do almost the same thing for a fraction of the price. Search The press channel on RU-vid and you will see that the chronos outperforms many other watches. Why don't you make a video together with those guys on the press channel for a comparison. If there are affordable alternatives for everyone, why not take them instead of dreaming of a watch that, due to its price, not all of us will be able to have, but they are not talked about because it does not suit the interests of those who manufacture these brands. Great video! To me the most amazing thing about this watch is the fact that because it's made of Titanium, it actually weighs less than the Deep Sea. It's very deceiving in that way.

@@user-vd4bu7vw3r I’ve covered a couple watches of his even though he’s got a ton of them. Personally I like this one better, sure the chime is more expensive & a bit more advanced but I like this slimmer case & usually lean toward gem set pieces
From doing jewelry and stuff with Sean through the years it's been really cool to see his collection of rare and unique pieces that have a story about them that goes beyond the piece itself. Recently he's helped me get into that side of things a bit more, this being one of the starting ones on that journey. It's a fun way to collect a different side of something we're already passionate about & it'll be cool to see where it goes
