I was on the train that day. It was a surprise bday present from my parents. I was riding on the Collinsville Inn riding in the breezeway of the passenger car. I can tell becuz of my JP t-shirt
My grandson and I enjoyed riding it and the ice cream provided was notably delicious. We traveled from Texas primarily to ride this train and view the gorgeous and ginormous 765 engine. ❤
Awesome that you caught it! I had heard it was going to roll through but was busy. Probably one of the if not the only time a "passenger-esque" train has rolled through since 1968 when the C&O ended passenger service through Howell!
That's an epic catch! One of the recently released from storage CSX Dash 9s, first time I've seen a CSX Dash 9 take the long hood forward leading position on a loaded bulk commodity unit train! DC power!
