@@Theimpulsivepanner yes you are right! Hopefully next year everything goes more better, good luck with your panning goals. Cant wait to see what you do for next year.
Thank you! Not your typical video but it’s exactly what I need. I didn’t know about cleaning wands. I didn’t know about fan brushes; other vids are about a decade old 😝. I need waterproof mascara to hold a curl and that limits my options. Typical wands have too much product on them for my preference and it results in a clumpy mess. Just threw out my mascara and will try a fan brush and new waterproof something. And cleaner.
@@skittlebop3450 glad this was informational! It's definitely a more involved method but worth the effort as the traditional mascara method isn't a great fit for me.
"Franken-ing" refers to mixing products to get the desired color or texture you're looking for. So a "frankenbronzer" would be a bronzer that I make by combining a dark bronzer with an eyeshadow to make the right shade for me. You can also "franken" lip products, blushes, foundations, etc. To me, "franken-ing" is beyond just mixing on the back of your hand but actually putting the mix into a container for multiple uses. Hope that clarifies the term!
I went to the lip lab last yr for my birthday and it was so much fun. But it is expensive. I think having an engraving pen is so cool and u can pretty much do it yourself at home.
I LOVE earl grey! Now I'm going to have to try that Tatcha primer the next time I make a purchase from them (which won't be for a very long time, don't worry). I also think it's hilarious that AI keeps trying to generate new prompts for you. 😂 She wants to be a panner, too!
Just give it a sniff when you get the chance. I might go sniff the whole tacha line now! I really don't need a primer like that but once I finish up my other pore filling primer, I might splurge for the scent alone haha
@@megansmith2637 thanks for watching! This has been a good year to observe my lip application habits and to see what's worth bringing into my collection in the year ahead! No more lipsticks is what I learned lol
@@shaifali-vy6bx honestly I wouldn't be able to tell you as the large pan was already a mix of stuff. Just basically a light cream shade and then a powder contour shade
Just dropped by to watch & subscribe after seeing Steph’s intro. 💕 What a super cool project!!! Well done on creating a website for it too, I’m so impressed with it all! 🤩
It's always good to pull everything out and get a good idea of what we have. Puts things into perspective! I'm planning on filming my first ever inventory soon and I'm dreading it. 😂 But it's much needed!
@@firsttimepanner I almost wasn't going to do it but decided it would be interesting to reflect on how my makeup tastes have shifted over the last year and where I want to be with my collection. Sending motivation and excitement vibes your way!
I think it is annoying that they put Lawless' lightest blush shade in the package since most people can't wear it. I probably could because I am so light, but I recognize that I am not most people at all.
@@MsAlyssaJM this kit definitely isn't deeper skin tone friendly. I'm going to try to make it work but it will be quickly frankened if I get annoyed with it lol
I was on the fence about this kit, but I think I'll get it during the VIB sale (if I have points in my beauty bank lol). I'm interested in everything but the Patrick Ta gloss, but I have a friend who would want that so I think this would be such a great set! And I think the pink, fluffy makeup bag is so cute. 😄Thanks for doing this video!
@@hannahtrumbo7361 it's a super fun way to mix shades and franken other products you might not be using. It's super satisfying to get full use out of the sample!
I fell into the same hole. I was shopping and shopping never really using the products I “thought” I needed. YT played a huge roll in that addictive behavior. I’m now in the hole financially. It’s a difficult pill to swallow knowing I did this. I grew up in the church and I know my Lord has extremely patient and waiting, waiting for me, the gentleman that He is. I know that God is the only one that can satisfy whatever I need. I’m fairly new to your channel, i know why I happened upon your channel. It was for this day, this video I needed to hear this. Thank you for sharing.
@@9023rsd this is such an encouragement to hear! The enemy knows how to get us in the most subtle of ways but the Lord is always fighting for us. Keep up the good fight and know that the Lord is always trying to keep you close! Happy to chat more over on IG. ❤️
Hey Jami super proud of you for closing the account 👏👏👏 sometimes you just gotta quit stuff cold turkey to help, I totally have an addictive personality so I always am watching out for things lol. I was using makeup shopping/yt vids/thinking of it as a coping mechanism as well (chronic pain/anxiety). Being on a no buy ended up with me obsessing over my wishlists and now that more time has passed and I’m busy with other things I think about wishlists less and it’s been way easier. I’m allowing myself to buy stuff after my no buy is over but no longer overthinking about it. Picking up another hobby can be helpful, for me school is taking a lot of my thinking space lol. I’m catholic and for lent you give up something you like for 40 days usually people do meat or soda, this year I gave up RU-vid watching. Idk but somehow it helps that you make a promise to God to let go of something. Other people also make promises about alcohol for a year not necessarily during lent etc. Anyway good luck to you!
@@MakeupCleaningAndCats thank you! Keeping busy is definitely such a great way to keep those tempting thoughts at bay. Panning is a huge space with such an encouraging community where there is never any pressure to purchase or try new products. That is quite a feat to quit YT for lent. I tried a few times but am too attached to it. I'll have to try again sometime. With God all things are possible!
Thank you for sharing. I understand bc I started obsessing over makeup too. As a Christian I would say well I don’t drink, I don’t club I don’t smoke. My hobby is makeup. What I didn’t realize was that makeup had me. I had made it into an idol & it became a coping mechanism instead of bringing my pain to the Lord and letting him heal and restore me. I still like makeup and it’s hard to get away from since I’m an MUA but I notice I’m not obsessing over makeup and I have been curating my personal collection by project panning & decluttering. A also remind myself I don’t have to keep testing new products if I already have a favorite product in that category. Or I think about my collection whenever I’m tempted to buy something. I’m also amazed at how much self control I’ve had over the last two 21 Days of Beauty Ulta has at the moment.
@@LisaVegaMakeupMUA thanks so much for sharing. Being a Christian in the beauty space holds a special tension that the Lord can only help us navigate. May He help you have a healthy and joyful relationship with makeup and give you opportunities to worship the Lord through the way you serve others.
I’ve been on a low/no buy this year but understand about have many samples. I have several mini/deluxe size skincare products I need to get through. They last longer than I’ve expects. I’m curious to see how you decant gloss, mascara and anything else I’ve might think you can’t decant. I’m also curious how you re-use a mascara tube.
@@9023rsd minis do last forever! Tubes like lip gloss and mascara have a rubber or plastic stopper at the top of the bottle to wipe away excess product from the applicator. I use tweezers to take it out and then a mini/beauty spatula to scoop out the product inside. Cleaning the tube (especially mascara) is a chore but a bottle cleaner with some liquid soap is usually enough to get it clean. It's messy though
@@9023rsd for reusing a mascara tube, I take some mascara from a "donor" tube and put it in! Again a messy process. I actually prefer decanting mascara into a jar and then using a mascara brush. But using a mascara tube and wand is def more convenient
Been binge watching your Franken shorts, thanks for helping me destress lol. I moved a multi balm that was in a pan into a lip balm and it’s been so much easier to apply
Nope! No set start or update frequency. I wanted to keep it flexible for the seasoned project panners that have a lot going on. Just some fun when you're ready for it!
Good question- I've been thinking about that. I can probably add a clarification on the page for sure. I would think either sub in what you use for complexion or roll again. I dont want to make it too complicated!
I think the Fenty Eaze Drop Lit is supposed to be a glowy Primer, so something alike the CT one. I own the shade Toffey Tapaz (?) and I‘d say it‘s much lighter and not as „tinman-y“ as some are saying about the CT one - can‘t really speak from my own experience, because I don‘t own the CT one though ✌🏽 Your Beauty Bank approach is really interesting to me! and I can relate to the breastfeeding journey. not ended yet, but I know now, that I want to celebrate as well 😅
