Traction control is needed, along with a creeper mode for climbing stairs. Otherwise, these EUCs are pretty good on snow and ice but not mud or sand, yet.
If you give throttle it will manually accelerate then will automatically go back to set cruise speed, if you force against the Rostra, the electric motor will force to keep the throttle steady
It's s good scooter, I sell them for years. Today in my country Spain it's s little expensive and maybe needs the actual model some modifications in comparison with other brands. But it's fun and a part from luggage space, riding comfort etc, in summer no extra heat engine
Hello, i know it is not a proper place to ask, but my 06 400s can't rev over 4000rpm, I usually rides 50mph, i know i ride slow but it is like, it limits to 4000 rpm whatever i heavy load it up hill or do a launch..it is my first ever bike and i have no idea if it is normal bcoz i am light and slow, or its in limp mode or intake plate not turning....would like to hear from anyone, thx
@@laiericsson7148 it could be a lot of things, but its only rpm related i would check the cvt weights assuming that its like that since you got the bike, make sure that you use 1/2 to full throttle on takeoffs
@@laiericsson7148 The heavier the CVT weights, the slower rpm and more sluggish take offs will be, usually people like 17-21g weights, but it's only a theory, i can't diagnose a motorcycle by internet
I guess this popped up due to me owning a 650. If you ever get a 650, make sure it's an executive. That comes with heated seat front and rear, heated grips, ABS, and electric windscreen + wing mirrors. Also the weight is no joke. I'm 6'3 and 130lbs and struggle. She's a heavy girl. Fully wet, she pushes 640lbs. It is by far the biggest reason people prefer the 400. The Burgman 400/650 to me are touring bikes at heart. Their only scooter heritage is the terrible name and the fact they're CVTs. I bought a cheap Burgman 650 as an all weather, all year round bike to compliment my sportsbike addiction. It's now my favourite bike ever and the bike I've used the most. Great video mate.
At the time i'm writting this, i sold my 400 for a 2008 650 executive, it's a wonderful machine but the 400 was more fun to ride, you can't go wrong with either of them, personnally none of them feels heavy when riding compare to conventionnal motorcycles
at 4:03 this man says something that only riders that use the motorcycle for very long trips will understand . Every time i hear someone talking about changing the exhaust for louder noise, they usually do their nails at a salon, use tampons, and ride 10 miles a year
@@christianroy9605 depuis que j'ai le miroir sur mon casque je ne me sers plus du tout de celui sur ma main, c'est un petit miroir d'angle mort standard d'automobiles et pour la petite bracket c'est fait maison
It looks like it was a great ride through a beautiful country. I use a horn like that as well, but I attach it to a belt loop on my trousers so I can use it with either hand. Apart from a mirror, I also have a radar that warns me if a car is coming up behind me.
I can't beleieve they left the new path with a dead end !!! At least make it gravel to some sort of destination !! Any change of getting your STL for the pads ? I already have 2 sets of pads incluing the powerknobz but I like printing and experimenting with new pads ...
I know there is me and my skill level which is decent but there is also the tire. My Kenda nobby still has quite a bit of wobble to it and it's a bit sketchy at about 40 miles an hour. Anyone have any thoughts on the Shingo 244? Thank you for this great straightforward video. I am no longer concerned about changing the tire myself.
@@boblatkey7160 My friend has the same problem with the Kenda, i have no problem riding at 40mph with the Shinko but it seems to eat about 20% of the range compared to the Michelin street
@@MathieuTechMoto oh cool, thanks for letting me know! I don't really like going super fast anyways and we have super nice dirt firebreak trails that I love blasting on so range isn't as important to me. Thanks again!
I love your videos. The teardown video was fantastic, and recently helped me find a shorn motor bolt on my Sherman-S. Thanks for making great content! The S is such a great wheel too.
ohh, wow, the complete service manual as well, that link is bookmarked! tnx dude! 😁 also, I bet some people comming to watch this video does not have the 2nd gen V-Strom, so you should probably add information about the generation, either the model, the generation or just 2012-2016
Hi, can you answer a related question; I always wondered is there enough grip between motor cover-bearing and axle-bearing. Why doesn't it slip when riding, there is so much torque anyway. Also, did you install it with grease? Surely this would be a bad idea because above?
Tellement vrai, je viens de m'acheter un Honda Forza 300 de 2014 comme premier scooter après 20 ans de moto. C'est fun de retrouver un peu le feeling des premiers 2 roues de notre jeunesse.
After watching this... I'm seriously thinking about getting a scooter. Older rider. Thanks for the great review and information. Ride safe. Cheers from the States.
How come in the Philippines everything is overpriced and under quality? You cant even fit 1 full face helmet on a burgman 400? The first world countries get the best and we get rejects?
How come in western countries the burgman series are as you say affordable and easy to maintain, while in the Philippines, even a burgman 125 alone is a sure fire away to get each Filipino bankrupt?
My dad accepted to do a test ride with my mom on the 400, then in the same week he sold his St1300 to buy a Burgman 650 that he will have tomorrow, i had the chance to try it and i'm very unsure whether or not i make the switch, i really liked how the engine feeled
@@MathieuTechMoto Oh wow now your Dad is gay too! In my very humble opinion, if you're happy with the 400, I'd stick with it. I haven't ridden one besides my 650 and I love it. Happy and safe scootering, thanks again for the video.
I changed my Corolla for a Smart Fortwo, the sell my motorcycle to buy a scooter and on top on that i ride electric unicycles, no wonder :) For reference, he's the type who drive's a big pick-up truck
thats a great video, have brakes locked on which i suspect is the park brake but want to change the rear pads as well as think the park brakes been dragging for a while ... brakes look to be one of the few uncomplicated jobs on the spyder
