None of the engine shops in Minnesota want to mess with with diesel heads for porting and polishing and everything you had done, I would like the name of your shop that you use ?
I would have to see a dino test on this. Most forced air systems, this really would not help much, now if your engine is sucking ruel/air, hell yes it makes a difference.
If i new what i new now about 6.5s and i had the cash to buy a fluiddampre i totaly would. But me as a Canadian is 800 anywhere i go and im wasnt going to be spending that money on a HB. The crank pulley from factory has the rubber insulation for a reason, to dampen vibrations. The factory wouldt have gone out of the way to do all of that engeneering if it didnt matter. And i have had terrible experience myself, i instaled a AcDelco HB and Leroys billet pulley and every 5000kms or so id go thru a belt. Danm anoying trying to figure out what it was. So after a WHOLE BUNCH of troubleshooting i finnally swapped out leroys to a OEM NOS pulley and it has worked great for me for that last 125 000kms (both stock replacements). End of the day fluidampre is great if you got the cash, OEM works just as well if you dont have the cash just checkup on it every oil change. And leroys pulley, well you know what i think of that garbage.
Were did you buy your o-ring 3 inch vbands from? What did you use for intercooler pipe? Is that 3 inch exhaust pipe? Trying to finish up my center mount truck
Just started working on my 6.5 my dad gave me 2 years ago.. needs a rebuild due to rod knock, but that is super cool. All my friends keep telling me just junk it, but my dad loved that truck, i cant. I don't have the heart too. Its gunna stay a 6.5 and itll run again
Are you using the Humvee center turbo mount/manifolds or is that custom too, I’m new to the 6.5 world. I’m going to build one for my CrewCab Dually since I have one sitting in my garage and take the 454 it has right now for my Squarebody.
Well you just made a liar out of all the guys saying the only function for the vacuum pump is to operate the Turbo waste gate. It operates the EGR valve if installed.
That’s the best sounding 6.5 i have ever laid my ears on. I had a suburban with one years ago. You just made my decision pretty easy I’m buying one as my next pickup. My buddies drive all the diesel’s out there except this. I’ll be the unfortunate one 😂😁
Board in the house lol SoCal here. Rust and weather lol always reminds me of why i will NEVER leave SoCal!!! We pay for the sun. Never seen rust never stayed inside. Wife gets the new burban family wagon i run a custom factory order Chevy C2500. Love it! Glad i found your channel!
Great video. A Fluid Damper, an engine bypass filter, a fuel additive, and High quality Synthetic gear oil, transmission fluid, power steering fluid and engine oil, will give many extra years to the vehicle.
