There is a lot to learn from popular culture, if we stop to notice, understand and appreciate!
Suvaissance is a word mashup of "Suvaignar" (Tamil word meaning "one who appreciates the underlying aesthetic beauty") and Renaissance (meaning revival). This channel hopes for the revival of deep appreciation in the world, going beyond treating pop culture as mindless pastime.
Why is this music beautiful? Why is that song sitting in your head? What is the specialty of this painting? Why does this moment in the movie feel wonderful? This channel has answers to questions like that about music and art from popular culture of Tamils and the world. It also has original creations of music composer/artist Su Krish.
When you understand a piece of music, or a piece of art, in a way you haven't understood it before, that's a Suvaissance moment! This channel hopes to bring you many of those moments!
We all know he does perform… and as such there is nothing wrong with being a music programmer. I am not sure why being a music programmer must be an insult 🤷🏻♀️… the most goosebump inducing THX logo sound was not even melodically hand played programming… it was literally thousands of lines of computer code… and how amazing is that… it takes genius to envision a grand final sound and write code to generate your vision. This channel hopes that we can appreciate different ways of being a musician. 🙏
The initial reference to bass guitar with the actress's neck movement couldn't have happened as described as in Indian movies songs are composed first followed by visuals. The choreographer would have taken the music as a cue for that movement.
Nice video. Can you make a video on the scene where ranjikant walks into ramya krishna's house and ramya krishna is slowly descending the stairs.. i thought that scene n music was amazing.
Shared this video with Pandiarajan (director) he was so thrilled and excited, said it disturbed his sleep, watching your detailed analysis so well and that the music and the movie stood the test of time and remains one of the favorite BGM ring tone for many
3 things mam: 1. Pls share your thoughts on why ARR isn’t able to recreate his magic like he did in early 2000s ? What could be the issue ? 2. Pls do a video on Kangalal Kaidhu Sei. IMO it’s the best music of ARR. it has lot of background music while the actual song is playing in foreground. Something u might analyze better!! 3. Similarly pls do a video on salangai oli songs. It’s one of best music compositions of Ilayaraja. Hard to tell if it’s ilayaraja or KVM music.
(1) I think this may have a lot to do with our nostalgia. I mean… just… Look at these children: They will probably say there’s nothing like ponni nadhi: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-asQLl2KLtEw.html Think of all the college students setting ringtone to Mallipoo vechu for their girlfriends call… It is the loveliest song for them… we have not accounted for simple nostalgia… Another analogy I can give is duck imprinting… whoever is nearby when the duck hatches from the egg (for the first two days) it thinks of them as the mom… In nature a lot of things are like imprinting. We are imprinted with our earliest songs as the model songs and benchmark songs. Nothing will live up to those again (unless we fall in love again, or learn something new like sculpting and acquire the child mind again). ARR is going on as usual. We have changed. This is my understanding of the issue. (2) & (3) Noted. I look into all suggestions and do the ones where I find a new concept to talk about (and is easy to produce as one person).
That's why guys you should understand the west systematically trying to collapse bharat culture and people who are genuine Google RU-vid Facebook Twitter etc etc will never recognize true people. You cannot expect truth in western influenced world. Raja is the world best Composer.
I am not sure that they are systematically trying to collapse Bharat. India is simply not on their minds when they write “best in the world” articles. They didn’t remember to check. How many Indians keep track of Nigerian film industry? In the same way, India is simply not on their minds, rather than keeping it in their mind and plotting against. This large bias is coming as a result of many many tiny acts of omission by innocent people… This would be remedied if Indians make some noise, write articles etc. It would also be nice if IMDB and similar hubs of world information had someone who ensures proper representation from the world.
He is Maestro Ilayaraja or Iasaignani Ilayaraja ! It would’ve been nice if you mention his name that way as a mark of respect. He is so much revered and almost God like for so many of us. Just a suggestion, no offense meant.
I was going to write a corporate polite reply… but on second thoughts, I’ll give you the full picture… So… here is the real reply: The last one month of my life has been like 18 hours a day about his work. I have visions of him. Sometimes I even say “ennaiya tune eluthi vechirukka nee, yen ya azha vekkira poya angittu” on some sleepless night. There is urimai. There is respect. There is love. I talk about him everywhere I go. I have said “Maestro” several times on this channel. One must also give the freedom to say “Kamal” “Rajini” “Rahman” “Raja” (instead of like Kamal sir, Raja sir) in the middle of sentences like “This is the Raja signature” or “This is the Rajini style” and also in titles because these are short forms and this is how people talk at home. can’t keep a tally mark how many times “Maestro” or “sir” was omitted to assess the amount of respect. I am not any outsider to him. He is my life now. And here’s the corporate reply 😂: I will try to say “Maestro” as often as I can particularly intros.
Thanks for the reply ! I was referring to the title descriptions only and not your talk per se. Appreciate and value your efforts a great deal. Wish you all success !
@rajithajay7595 ok glad that’s sorted. Unfortunately in Titles it’s not possible at all… ☹️the fewer the characters, the more people see it. RU-vid creators are constantly advised to shorten titles. It’s like telegrams - how much can u cut. The app itself cuts off words.
Best part of this video, is that its just about 2 lines. Just 2 lines and 2 related tunes. There so much sooo much more in this song and thousands of songs like this. Isaignani has done his work and created his art for future generations to study from them for ages.
@@suvaissance Yes. In the playlist it played the next video by the time i finished up my comment. Thank you for mentioning it. Was amazing. Please do keep doing such stuff.
Do make more of ilayaraja songs breakdown. Oru rasiganai ik his brilliance. I can enjoy it to the core. I want to enjoy with some technical details of music too.
Dedicated to Maestro Ilaiyaraja's BGM lovers. "Aan Paavam" movie full BGM in 12 minutes. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N_eL3MUKEj0.html
