Thank you for this review. At the moment i have Vela 408. Do you think that these concentro 509 are good enough to cover 50 sq metres living room without a subwoofer?
Hi there, yes these will sound like you have a sub but perfectly balanced bass. We had a customer we sold some to that had 2x svs subs and removed them once he received a set of these and his large high end B&W speakers needed the subs so cleaned his system up well and rang to say how good and large the bass is on these. So yes to all of your questions bud and a big difference in bass to the 408’s.
I'm guessing the cabinets were damaged?? Well an imperfection in the lacquer or finish, I'd be very upset if they were mine, plus the dealer would say you've done it yourself..
@@soundhubnz8992 just there was a circle highlighting something on the cabinet, beautiful finish, I have a set of studio 50s in piano blk, fantastic speakers, the platinum series are the only ones to rival them.
@@soundhubnz8992 ahh, I see, they really are beautifully finished, I did a piano finish on my hi fi rack, it's unbelievably time consuming, took me over 2 months, and Alot of swearing!! Also I replaced the shelves with 30mm mirror chip Black quartz, 105kgs.. The studio 50 would have been much better with 25mm cabinets not 18mm, this is where the newer platinums win, another set of speakers I was really impressed with were ruarks solstice, happy listening :)
