The Belgium army put up a valiant resistance to the Wehrmacht, destroying most of their countries infrastructure so it would slow down the Germans. You cannot say the Belgians didn't fight the Nazis.

Basically, the Battleship was a well proven technology that had helped win many wars, and the Japanese had proven well skilled at using them. Whereas the aircraft carrier was only a potential game changer in the 30s. Also, radar changed naval warfare forever, and it wasn't even a consideration at that point.
He died from an operation due to complications of a car accident in Berlin, Germany 21st July 1947 (aged 23). He never came back to the USA because he was stationed there. However, he has been buried in Arlington National Cemetery. I am an Australian and I know this why? Who knows but what a disgrace that his own country can't get his facts right. May he Rest In Peace!
