Sharing the joy of motorcycling, moto travel, and other mirthful pursuits. A few years ago I bought my first motorcycle and began a wonderful and challenging endeavor. Through training, planning, gear, and practice, motorcycling has become a favorite means of travel, personal therapy, and general diversion. Come ride with me!
Wow, Thank you for the concern! I am doing well and actually recently did a nice trip around Colorado on the Versys. Just trying to work up the motivation to edit footage and put together a video.
Oh cool, we were free parking neighbors. Black/red frame MV behind you in the middle when the camera turns 4:49 Glad you made it and had fun. Taste of the future from Acosta. Did you make it back this year and/or any future plans to?
Hello! I have watched your RU-vid channel and few videos. Your channel has many videos but not enough views and subscribers. Your channel should be optimized, your videos are very good but your video optimization is not perfect Example: According to VidiQ analysis: This video SEO score is 0 out of 100 - which should be 80+, no SEO friendly tags/rank tags added, social media Sharing is not done and there are some other issues. Because of this your video is not reaching the interested people. If you solve this problem and SEO optimize your RU-vid videos immediately, your channel will get more views, subscribers and monetization very quickly. As a RU-vid SEO expert, I am passionate about SEO optimizing every video on your channel. Let me know if you are interested. Thank you
Thanks for sharing this ride and your thoughts on the Vulcan s. Really enjoyed the footage, as I'm looking to visit the US about mid year with the intention of perhaps doing some motorcycle touring through national parks. The scenery and the road condition looks excellent. I started on a 2007 Versys 650 and loved it. Finding the seat height challenging and wanting to try a cruiser style, I recently bought a 2021 Vulcan s and am enjoying it immensly as I begin to do some longer trips here on the east coast of Australia.
Headted grips don't keep your hands dry when it rains. I installed a set of SHAD Handlebar Muffs. My hands stay warm & dry. No wind or rain. I really don't need heated grips.
Don't put a smaller rear sprocket on your motorcycle, unless you want less acceleration, more clutch slippage in first gear, and less power in every gear.
I had to roll the bars back about an inch to eliminate that stretch problem. Made it a whole lot more comfortable - especially over bumps in the rear suspension.
Wow Buddy, so an awesome Bike (Kawasaki versys 650) and this Beauty Road, this ist absoluteley perfekt 🎉 Thanks for the Video and Ride Safe 👋greetings from Germany.
Keep the content coming! I’m looking to change bikes from a 2013 cb500x, and the Versys 650 has a one of the candidates. You’re one of the few channels I’ve seen making consistent content on it
You should buy a Seat Concepts or Sargent seat for the Versys. Your would love it. Makes the ride so much more comfortable! Is one of the best up grades you can do. I love my Versys but can't stand the factory seat.
I was riding on Dunlop Road Smart 3 tires which are a good all-around road/touring tire. Good wet traction and durability. Plenty of others that do the job well also. I don't change tires regularly, so I just go with a versatile choice by default.
I think you would really enjoy either one. Just depends on your personality and what you want out of your motorcycle. V650LT is already set up with side cases, so that helps if you're looking for longer trips. The taller seat height can be intimidating at first, though.
Just yesterday I went through watching your previous video series for your trek to Moto GP. I found myself wondering when you would post a new video; low and behold this is posted today. Nicely done; it looks like a great ride.
Yes, cruise control would be very nice for long trips. I use a mechanical throttle clamp carefully to avoid problems (keep it a little loose.) The bike generally functioned very well. Just re-broke a rear turn signal that had previously been glued from a break in the mountains. The Versys is plenty comfortable for long rides. Good upright riding position, leg room, and a comfortable seat. I highly recommend it.
Speeding up the video so the 25 mph limit didn’t look so slow was a great idea😉 I think I would like to try that a little later in the spring or summer. Never tried a motorbike in even partial snow/ice conditions.
I was interested in how the bikes would perform on the road together as I own both a VN900 Classic and a Versys, both 2009 models. For just cruising the flat lands like you were I think I would prefer my Vulcan, just. But for any riding that requires some decent cornering or even a hint of dirt or gravel, the Versys is the way to go. Only had the Versys for a few weeks and I’m really enjoying it. The power to weight difference really favours the Versys, it’s going to be interesting to take it for a couple of longer rides, it needs fatter grips for my liking, got used to the cruiser’s!
I now own my 3rd Versys 650. Had an '09 many years ago then sold it to try some different bikes. Didn't like them as much so sold them and bought a 2013 Versys. A few years later I sold it because I got the itch for a Honda ST1300. It was a great bike but heavy and definitely all street. Now after looking back and thinking about all the different bikes I've had, at least 20 or so, the Versys has been my favorite. So now I have a '18 Versys 650 LT and finally, just maybe, will be content with what I have . 🙂
Love Barber...best road course in America...never been to races in Texas...enjoyed your videos ...been looking between the 650 Versys and comparing to the Verysy 1000...I average 300 to 400 miles a day on avoiding highways on my Garmin and wonder about the comfort and durability of the 650 at sustained speeds 6 to 8 hr days...
From both my Colorado - Alabama trip and Colorado - Texas trip, I can say the Versys is comfortable enough for long days. Biggest step forward would be cruise control which the Versys 1000 has. Otherwise, it gets the job done for 500 mile days no problem.
Glad you made it to MOTOGP in Austin. For myself, having attended every MOTOGP race in Indy, while they lasted, I agree with your perspectives on fan hospitality. (MOTOAMERICA vs. MOTOGP experiences) I hope the remainder of your trip was uneventful and you made it to all of your destinations safely. Looking forward to your next video. Thank you for sharing! How is your riding buddy doing?
He is doing well. We rode together again in Capitol Reef National Park without incident on a new bike to me . . . Video forthcoming once I get caught up posting the MotoGP trip.
