Mine is a 2010 MDX, I had this problem for 2 years. One important step is to press the Vol button to activate the code entry, then press the number buttons 1-6 to enter the Radio Code. Voila !! Thanks for the hints Rad Rad !
My remote didn’t want to do anything at all, no lock or nothing and it was showing the car was unlocked, i tried this and it perfectly work now , thank youuuu
Not sure why the plug head was torqued on so tightly. With a new crush washer I just hand tightened the plug. Been changing oil for 40 years now and never had this problem before.
I normally change my own oil but took it in last time and unfortunately there are a lot of oil techs that don't know what they're doing. And this is why I will always change my own oil moving forward.
rounded-off, not "stripped". you make it sound like the thread has come off or damaged. EDIT: pro-tip: ratchets are more adjustable than the 90-degree/turn adapter. also having the tool against the bottom of the car isn't a "sweet spot" if you intend to use a hammer. another pro tip: get an impact driver and a wobble socket extension, it'll change your life. EDIT2: I'm gonna get me a set of those extractors, thank you very many.
From a kindred shade-tree mechanic in NC, thanks for the video demonstrating the TOPEC bolt/nut remover. Not to detract from your instructive video, but I would describe that problem as being a "rounded" nut rather than a stripped nut. Nonetheless I plan to get me a set of those real soon. Take care and thanks again.
Hello, I need some help please. I do the pairing and the antenna lights first red then green and the lights on the car click twice as it should but when I test the remote no reaction 😢 I disconnect the battery of the car for two minutes and when reconnect it the only thing I get is the compustar remote vibrating when lock/unlock the car with the OEM remote. Is the remote defective or there something more I can do? I tried with disconnecting the antenna and nothing happened with that fix. My remote is 2WT9R-FM. I hope someone helps because I can’t find to buy a second one in my country 😅. Thank you!
i tryes everything: what actually helped me wqs just disconnected the antenaa on the windshield n plugged it back in n thats it!!🤣 thata wat made it work: sure trye the programming 5 times process n then do this n all but i suggest do wat i did first.
My remote stopped locking/unlocking/starting the car after car battery died. I tried reprogramming with the 5 key turns with no success. I also tried unplugging transmitter and that did nothing. When I press the button on antenna/transmitter it lit up red, I hit lock button on remote and the light went green but didnt lock door. At this point I assumed the remote was still synced because it was communicating with antenna/transmitter. **MY FIX** I disconnected my car battery for 2 minutes and reconnected and IT WORKED.
I have no button on my attenna but my compustar loses signal so sometimes i spam the unlock button and it works but it didnt do that and i changed the battery too im try this video and see if it works
Had a dead battery also! This 2-minute off thing works! For some reason it won’t start when the battery tender has been disconnected. Had to do the 2-min off before it worked
One of my compustar cs4900s will lock, unlock and flash lights like it wants to start. The other one doesn’t lock/unlock or flash lights. It is orange lighting oppose to green
This is the order in which I did mine.. 1. Put the key in the ignition and turn it off to on 5 times ending in the on position. 2. Press the button on the antenna. 3. Hit the lock button on your new compustar key fob within a few seconds of hitting the antenna button... You should hear a click noise. (Make sure the key fob is within close range to the antenna)
I ended up taking mine back to my technician, he said he had to be reprogrammed, I forget why it had to be reprogrammed but i think the cause was that work was done on my car battery.
