I did a quick solder and play with the stock wiring harness. I will eventually get around to redoing the electronics this winter as another fun project.
Here is one with sound and I have another video coming on Friday. It is a fun little amp to have on the desk. ru-vid.comd8w--fgsqZs?si=-PgmrWfvvYBMhlfP
That seems to be a long time. It only took mine about 5 seconds the last time I did the reset for Mem+Sys. I have done it about five times without issues.
Accidentally unplugged the output and it turned off haha but it was working just like normal when I turned it back on, just a glitch I guess, when I chose memory reset then system reset it took seconds haha, thanks!
What if even this spray won't remove the static buildup. Or will this definitely work ?. When i touch the strings the sound stops. It's the static right . Please help.
I did not try the Nylon or Stiffo. I lucked out by choosing the carbon fiber and really like the feel and attack it has. I would assume the Nylon would be a bit softer on the attack and the Stiffo in the middle.
Ofcourse it have Nylon Picks are flexible on attack where as stiffos doesnt bend at all which gives you more confidence in attack but all depends on your comfort level and what style you want
I just got a PoT this week and I have this same compressor. I generally have my compressor off but new to try it with this. I was thinking about a 2nd PoT to make it like a KoT…..or the 2 PoT version!
I was thinking of getting this but to me it’s like sitting in the space shuttle and trying to figure out how to take off and Land at the same time 😳🤦♂️
@@nowgearthis Thanks for the reply: I don’t which one to get, is the sound quality that much better than the RC 30 as that’s the one I’ve already got ?.👍🏻
Here is the standard wiring diagram from Fender: www.fmicassets.com/Damroot/Original/10008/Diagram_0992374000_CuNiFe-Cobalt-Chrome-Jazzmaster-Pickup-Set.pdf Be sure to take pictures. The Squier VM JM is wired slightly different than the link diagram. I just soldered the wires to the exact place the original pickup was attached. I will eventually redo the wiring to standard and change it to vintage specs. I do like these pickups a lot- the clarity is incredible.
You have the option to just do System, Memory (your saved loop tracks) or Mem+Sys. If you want to keep your loops, just reset SYS when asked F.Reset. Do not do Mem+Sys like I did in the video.
Are those old fender heavys? In 2019 i got some that had the recessed gold logo, but bought some later and the gold was just printed on the face, doesnt matter tho i switched to jazz 3s anyways, just wondering.
These are the new fender printed version. I still have a pack of the tortoise shell from a few years ago with the recessed logo I like. I have been using the max grips now for a few months and really like them. They feel just right and I rarely drop them.
@@nowgearthis yea I want to try those carbon max grips and the ernie ball prodigys but I haven't got around to going to a shop so I've been just watching videos about them lol. And I liked the recessed ones too, idk why they switched them, now the gold just wears off and it added alittle grip too that's why I started getting different picks but now I can't play with normal sized picks unless it's acoustic, thanks for the review dude
I have added the Silver Machine fuzz to the effect’s loop. It might be fun to do a video comparing a few fuzz, distortion and maybe a modulation pedal. I will have to work on that one.
Just got a chorus pedal. Need to go put that in the loop. :P I've heard modulation in the loop in a demo before. It was noticeable but subtle. Hmmmm... Compressor maybe? Anyway, thanks for the demo and the reply!@@nowgearthis
Funny you noticed it. I didn’t have the pedal wired up to the pedalboard yet so the power was to the wall with a lamp that caused the noise. It is actually much quieter than the Plumes in regards to noise now that it is on its isolated power supply.
