Hello I am a 23 Year Old LOTR Content Creator. I have been loving Lord of the Rings my whole life and have spent a lot time speedrunning various Lord of the Rings Video Games. Here you will see a lot of LOTR Media content. This will be anywhere from movies to games to books. Heck even some fanfilms. Often times I will be streaming playthroughs and speedruns on twitch as well.
Just watched an interview where Ian McKellen spoiled that there will be 2 movies. For sure we will have Andy and Ian ("if he is still alive" like he said). I don't see why we will not having all of them again. They are under contract with WB and Viggo will be one of the main characters, more than Lotr. 2 movies mean that they will be long and they will surely bring back Elrond, Galadriel, Thranduil, Legolas. Probably Gimli and Gloin that receive the visit of one of the Nazgul (Kamul), offering rings

Its cool to see people still run this game I always wanted to do a way better time but I dont want to pimp my armor back up to 40000 each piece but back in the days on my Xbox I did a 1 hour 23 minute run
The only rings of power I care about are the onion rings from BK (also Amazon closed my account so I can’t even watch rings of power even if I hated myself as much to watch it)
it definitely is not meant to be in the game because if you rebuy the item you do this with then then the item disappears from your inventory in the next region
All I really remember from this game is getting stuck at mustafar and getting my neck broken over and over by those guards. I was ~4 at the time so I was a noob fs lol
Sorry, I like the Harfoots and I like Celebrimbor, but I do understand you are basing this off Season 1, and I think a lot remains to be seen about how these characters will be involved in Season 2. I think Celebrimbor just was under-used in Season one, but I think he has to be essential in Season 2. And I was sad they killed off Sadoc so early, I liked his character.
as far as I have seen I did not like Galadriel or the tom holland look a like, but I think that you might have actually convinced me to at least try three episodes. I want to see if the first episode was just a rough start and will improve.
Outside of Andy serkis playing gollum and Ian mckellan returning as gandolf, you need to recast. It’s just simply been simply to long for those guys to look the part anymore without it being jarring. Having someone come back 10 years later is one thing 20 years whole Nother issue. I think you can have Ian McKellen return because gandolf looks the same as an old man and It won’t be a problem. So I’m all for those two returning.
After watching the video I missed some good moments by skipping the season. I don’t think it’s worth watching the season for the few moments I found interesting I think I’ll just get a recap from someone and maybe watch the first episode of the next season
Personally I think finding a show uninteresting after one episode isn't always the best thing to do. Unless there are some GLARING issuesz mainly because the first episode is always a setup you are meeting new characters and seeing a new world and so it needs time to be setup.
@@ZojalyxSR at the time that was everything they made, and when they made more I did not find it did anything different from other shows that made it stand out. Normally I’d watch three episodes to get a feel for it but that was not possible at the time.
@@jacobsmith374 I am not exactly sure what you are saying with this response. Everyone freaks out over the lore accuracy of Rings of Power and say it is an abomination to Tolkien. If you are going to hate on this because of it's accuracy to Tolkien lore then you have to do the same thing to both of Peter Jackon's trilogy and the animated movies. If you aren't going to freak out and complain about the lore but have other issues with the show that is a completely different thing. I just address the main yappers within the fanbase who do nothing but complain about lore accuracy and nothing else within the show
If Amazon skipped over Sauron's corporeal form being destroyed (The Lost Road), then he can still change shape. It is only after he puts too much of his energy into the One Ring and "dies" that he is too weak to form a pleasing appearance, only a hideous form of malice and hatred. So if he has not died ( again? in Amazon's timeline ) he should have the power to assume Annatar's form. Judging from the trailer, it looks like elves, and young Elrond are the group capturing Annatar at a disguised Barad Dur. In the lore, Sauron (Annatar) surrenders to the Numenorean king. Meaning if he has not returned to Numenor yet, Numenor has not been sunk yet.
If you know any Tolkien lore Sauron was NEVER a being called Halbrand. The show runners of Rings of Power made it up! It's not Tolkien. What they are doing now is actually (finally) introducing the being named Annatar that Sauron did appear to the Elves as. Go a head and explain that! Halbrand is not canon and has no place Tolkien's works. The real question is why do some people want to entertain themselves with things that are obvious Middle Earth lore breaking??? The creation of Halbrand is not only lore breaking but totally and completely unnecessary! Here is why: The Elves are fooled twice by Sauron not once. Galadriel is not only fooled personally (twice) but is to be held responsible for saving Halbrand/Sauron's life. Sauron visits Numenor not once but twice. The canon says this only happens once. This is when the King of Numenor takes him there in chains after defeating Sauron's army without a fight. Yes, without a fight because the hosts of Numenoreans were so intimidating in all their armor, weapons and machines of war that the hosts of Sauron fled before them. Tolkien also states that Sauron was amazed beyond belief by what he saw in Numenor. That didn't happen nor never can happen in Rings of Power now. I could go on and on and on with all the things The Rings of Power horrendously changed. There are far too many to count. This is not Tolkien's Middle Earth and to even try to explain it as such is absolute gross neglect to what Tolkien actually wrote. For these reasons I have zero interest in further watching your commentary. For what you are commenting on is an abomination to the life and work of the greatest fantasy writer of all time JRR Tolkien!
@@ZojalyxSR For the most part I liked it. Yes, Peter Jackson took some liberties with the lore but overall the feel of Middle Earth was there. In my book the adaptation of the Tolkien trilogy is the best ever done. However, don't get me started on Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy. That should have been one film or two tops. But greed got in the way of good story telling and staying true to the source material.
So if you compare the creative liberties taken. Rings of Power does take more, but that's only because it had a lot more holes to fill in. There are a lot of gaps in the story of the Second Age and so they make the decision to compress the timeline. It really is not as big of a stretch in terms of book inaccuracies when you compare it to the LOTR trilogy Some examples: the complete removal of both Tom Bombadil and Glorfindel The elves never coming to Helms Deep to fight alongside the men of Rohan Aragorns character is almost a night and day difference between the books and the movies. All of those changes are considered to be accepted because it's Peter Jackson but if it's RoP its an abomination. That's the problem with the fan base when it comes to Lore Accuracy
This is very cool to watch and you do a good job explaining, however your dubbing was really difficult to listen to sometimes- the random stops in your sentences where you kind of halt between words or lose track of what you were trying to say is very distracting and tough to listen to- I would practice reading the script a few times before you upload and get cleaner takes of you explaining what's going on- it will definitely make the experience more enjoyable for the viewer and make you sound a lot more professional.

I didn’t like the way they portrayed Galadriel in S1, in my defense tho, I was looking for a little bit more development into her becoming a kick but legend, rather than just being the kick but legend to begin with.
In order for that to happen we would have needed to start farther back in the year of the trees and handle the first age war with Morgoth. We are seeing some strong development from her though as she wrestles with the grief of her brother
@@ZojalyxSR but it seemed as though it tried to lean that way and I was disappointed it didn’t happen. I got my hopes up only got it to look like a generic female superhero and not something exciting.
Faramir is S+ tier for me bro, his dad always did discredit him for everything whatever what he did it was never enough for his dad. He was like a hero to me when he "tried to take back" osgiliath on that suicidal mission. Gothmog is A+, thats why i hate him 😂 and yea, you are not canceled for it bro, Boromir is easily S tier, and i did put Theoden instantly on C.
I really don’t see them proceeding if they can’t recast Viggo. Aragorn is too iconic - and he’s essentially the second main character of the story if they are actually going through with what we believe they are.
I think the biggest struggle we will all have if they do recast is that we have Andy Serkis as Gollum and so we would immediately think that everyone else is coming back but honestly it's hard to say. All the cast members are so much older than when this movie takes place. It's a hard situation for sure
The original actors are just too old unless Weta have made a leap with deep fake tech. Better to recast and distance these new movies from the original trilogy.
That was what I was initially thinking. The struggle I think we will all have is since PJ, Fran Walsh, Phillipa Boyens, and Andy Serkis that distancing could be VERY difficult
On Harfoots: my expectation is that there was a lot of focus on them in S1 because we needed to see Nori and the Stranger's starting points so we can baseline their character arcs. In S2 I think we'll really only see Nori, maybe with a few flashback moments to her family and Poppy.
I'm sure that's definitely what was needed. I totally get why they made the decisions that they did the unfortunate part was that it really took away from the other events in the story
You're not "weird" for like Rings of Ppwer season 1. It has an 83% fresh rating, and in IMDb61% of people rated it 7 or above. And thats after the militant campains to review bomb it. The haters are just an aggressive and loud minority. You are literally with the majority.
Can we all just admit this is gonna bomb? I am not even a Tolkien fan but that fandom is intense, and the show runners pissed them off big time. I'm just reading the crowd here. If you enjoy good on you, but you will be in the minority.
I wouldn't trust the IMDB review scores at all. IMDB is an Amazon company and they deleted/tampered with the user reviews for season 1. There are tons of videos about this. But it doesn't matter much. No one cares about RoP in the "real world". We are talking about one of the biggest IPs in the world, with one of the most succesful movie series connected to it. It should've been an easy home run but they blew it. We'll see if they can get some redemption in S2.
Only a small minority hate it. The vast majority of reviewers rate it highly. 83% critic fresh rating on RT, on IMDB 61% people rated it 7 or higher. Claims 'amazon deleted bad reviews' are moronic. If you look at reviews stats you can see clearly the hate campaign ratings bombed it with 16% 1 star ratings. Even after the massive hate campaign the stats clearly show the haters are vastly overwhelmed by fans.
@@Tar-Míriel Believe what you want. Fact is, they tampered with the reviews and _only_ the lower ones totally ignoring the counter reaction of massive amounts of 10s. But as I said, it doesn't matter since the vast majority don't give a flying f about this show. Totally zero buzz among "normies" and they are needed for a successful show. Like, for example, GoT and to some extent HotD.
I think S1 was alright too and this trailer looks really good. The only thing is I completely dislike Galadriels actress. Shes so untalanted and her acting super obvious.
I thought it was terrible season 1 but I agree it was overhated. Hatred is never a good way of showing criticism. All the hate actually made me give it a lot more chances than I would have done otherwise. I really wish this season 2 better luck but I have to admit I have a hard time believing they will pull it off.
It was fun to watch? Seriously? It just doubled down on Season-1 silly. Once again they are compressing a vast amount of time into an incredibly short period. Once again they are relying on CGI to try to make up for a lack of credible character development or story. All this trailer did for me is tell me that they haven't adjusted anything.
how would you as a show creator take thousands of years of events and make it work as one cohesive show? They have so many characters that are all important in the series of events and the stories they are wanting to tell. If they keep it according to the lore then we will have time jumps constantly throughout the show making things even more complex than they already are. where is the lack of credible character development in the story? Elrond has to choose between duty and friendship. His whole live has been brought into question from the wishes of Gil-Galad and his friendship with Durin. Durin has to choose between the lives of the elves and the pride of the dwarves which is something he chose every single time until his friendship with Elrond came into question. Galadriel has been fighting with her personal vendetta against Sauron and let her own vengeance blind her until she let Sauron into Eregion and now has to live with those consequences. The characters have been developing throughout the entire show. Is it perfect? no, absolutely not I never have thought it perfect but it has been enjoyable seeing this ADAPTATION on Tolkien's lore.
No Harfoots. Long-haired Elves. Annatar. Forging of the 16 Rings. Galadriel doesn’t seem as bitchy. Sack of Eregion. The Usurption of the Throne by Pharazon. Kings-Men vs the Faithful. Durin III’s descent into greed. Almost zero non-canon characters featured. The amount of focus on rectifying everything that went wrong in the first season with this trailer cannot be overstated.
@@ZojalyxSR Easily. The elves don't age. The first season didn't need to involve all those people. It could have been a well-written tight store arc dealing with Elves. Then you can in Season-2 go centuries to thousands years later and the elves would STILL look the same. Then bring in fall of N.
ok so how do you go about the events of thousands of years in the show without dragging everything along? There are a lot of events that happens but not all of it is interesting to a viewer who is not a die hard Tolkien fan. Focusing solely on the elves for an entire season makes the show feel so sluggish and that nothing is happening. Unless they REALLY dive deep into the events that happens with Annatar in Eregion but that would be creating events that did not even happen which would still make die hard Tolkien fans upset. No matter what the showrunners decide people are still going to be upset at changing his lore even they are just filling in portions that are not even written about. the same thing happened on the release of Peter Jackson's trilogies. A lot of book fans were upset at how he changed the lore of Tolkien to fit the narrative of what he wanted to tell better and that was accepted. However, when Amazon does it everyone hates the show.
@@ZojalyxSR I would tell it as written and not be in a hurry. Look at Game of Thrones... they did it over YEARS and it was very successful until they started RUSHING... which is exactly what Rings of Power is doing. There is no reason when you are greenlit for years not to take your time in the story and spread it out over the vast stage of time.
