I lost it at your "well there's the easiest cosplay in the world" XD. Seen this trailer few days ago. Its shocking... The humans messes it up. As I had seen on one of the comments on the trailer, "It needs the Sonic treatment"
I could not believe it! The biggest IP in the world. An audience from small children to 45-year-old men! and someone somewhere who probably never played or watched one MCC. Technoblade will be rolling in his grave RIP. Something you would think would be impossible to mess up! yes, "It needs the Sonic treatment"
Please, for all that sacred and holy, don`t waste your money on that dumpster fire waiting to happen. Some things are just not meant for live action (like Lion King). Where is no child in the world that deserve this kind of trash.
Totally. I have a feeling that there will be a Minecraft film one day that will erase this from the more serious fans and this will end up a bargain bucket kids film. It was a bad way to start the film IP. It's like Silent Hill: Revelation coming out 1st and upsetting the fans!!!
@@Dax79 but there are already so much machinimas on RU-vid! Even musicals from Captain Sparkles "Fallen Kingdom" to Rainimator's saga. Whole series from good old Aphmau to TSCStudio "Volition Chronicles". And tonnes of SMPs from legendary Dream to funny Empires. And some of the machinimas are done by high schoolers! My opinion - those who got the idea to make minecraft live action, trying to compete all the above, should change jobs to flipping burgers or smth manual, because their creativity is below any bottom.
@@vasheskaaronsar1568 True. I think this is not needed as a movie. Yes, people will say "If you don't like it, don't watch it" but if the IP gets damaged this early on we may never see a "Good" adaptation. Oh dear...
@@Dax79 that's true for all iconic things. Even Silent Hill at some point turned into label and plastered over a bunch of weird crap. Like Shattered Memories or Message (Ascension too but its just another level of crappiest dungeon), which was completely fine as an independent indie projects (but became an experiments). SH arcade was meh, because it's became much more than a local meme, and pachinkos not a theme in western world. Mobile games were surprisingly good but simple and not for smartphones. Anyway the recipe of success for any established franchise is giving to the fans what they asking for. I mean... cmon PT created new game genre. Psychological horror is tough, it requires work. Lazy cash grabbing attitude not flying for this. There was actually a fan song after Downpour release, when stated that Konami could sell SH even into Somali for profits, haha😁
That must of been hard to sit through again thankfully its only a few minutes given how shite that film was i only hope that Return to Silent Hill is better have a feeling that it will come out along side the Silent Hill 2 remake which i CAN NOT WAIT FOR!!! 🎉🎉
Yes! "Silent Hill: The Return will be Canon. I will be wearing my new James Jacket when I'm at the cinema as long as Konami can get the orders out on time as they are not very good at that!!!! I still find it funny they sold the "Iconic James Sunderland Jacket" so Iconic that both the movie James and the Remake game James are both NOT WEARING.
I feel Alien 3 is a much misunderstood movie. I personally have always had a soft spot for it. Maybe it's the mostly British cast or the fantastic performance from Charles S. Dutton.
Yeah "Fury 161" is starting to look like England at the moment. What's going on in our world! Charles S. Dutton was amazing. His monologues and speeches rule. I love the script!

It was a heavy fanservice disaster. Plain and simple. Like a crappy fanfic from the depths of the forums. No soul, no plot, no consistency, no sense. Just flashy effects and cash grabbing attitude. Like film makers through us in the face as many details as they can. "Yeeey we have this! We have that! Look! See! See! And buy our merch, pls." And almost zero respect to first film. It's meh try. But it actually raised confidence of small group of text roleplayers. We were extremely proud what we didn't do it worse than Revelations. 😂
The 1st scene where "Robbie" the Rabbit sits on a chair then suddenly looks to Heather was the moment I lost faith in the film... how many seconds in were we?...
@@Dax79 0:54-0:55 seconds when Heather run into souvenir shop in her dream. But my spider senses tingled since first photos from shooting scenes. Especially packed toy Robbies at the amusement park scenes. Well, even most homemade fan films don't stoop that low.
@@vasheskaaronsar1568 I had a subsriber send me photos from the town as they lived at the location. The details on the bins and around the town/set was amazing and I had high expectations. Then the film came out and they ditailes were lost for a "RE" kinda mess... Fans have done better on zero budjets!
@@Dax79 Indeed. Fun fact - most of fan films are inspired by Silent Hill 2. James, Mary and Maria have quite a vibrant and sad story. But I saw film made around fanfics, and some stuff inspired by SH 3 and SH4. Even SH: Homecoming can be viewed as an interactive fan movie of sorts.
@@vasheskaaronsar1568 I have a feature I wrote caller "Waking Hours" and I combined the games and film (Christophe Gans Canon) with a feel of both SH 1, 2 and 3. I wrote it some time ago and I will have to revisit it as some bits are very "Stranger Things" (Obviously I wrote it before this, messing up my drafts lol)
Coming off all the drugs that I should never have been on is helping and trying to walk as much as I can. This misdiagnosis and 7/8 years of wrong treatments has messed my body up. I still cannot cosplay build and this new set of videos watching trailers should hear me up and hopefully others :)
You hit the nail on the head. The second film would have been a great "Go Fund Me" fan film. But a high-budget cannon film... Let's see what comes out of my mouth in my next trailer video...
I always wondered why they put Sharon's mother as main character in to the movie while in game It was the father, Harry. Why not being Harry main character in the movie too? Another change is kid's name, Cheryl to Sharon.
I can't tell you wht the changed her name. That was silly. But the original script had Rose as Chris. But as the script was in its readthrough process all the test readers thought He sounded to much like a mother. Its a shame as seeing this gental Father figure would have been really nice as movies do not do this too often. In 2006 it was decided that he has to become a email to look and sound right. Mr bean was an afterthought. There is a fantastic Fan Edit of the film where the editor has re-cut the film and cut it as much as possible to the original ideas and Chris doesn't exist and its just a mother looking for her daughter.
This Maria is straight up condescending, practically laughing James in the face. No gaslighting, no imposing. Like she's not born from a wish, but from a grudge.😅 Sound work really make a difference.
Yeap! Its funny as her was the first teaser (Him walking on the Hospital roof towards James) but they hid him from the Story Trailer. Odd as the OG e3 trailer showed him in the kitchen as james is in the cupboard. We see james hiding and we hear Red Pyramid Thing but no visuals. I hope this is because they don't want the Woke foke to see him and being protesting...
This proves that my blind love for the OG cast was hitting me in 2012. I just didn't like the new voices even tho my "voice crush" is Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (She can talk all day and I could just listen to her...) But I just didn't see our Maria as her Maria. Now, I haven't any love for the new Maria yet so her voice and look still are new meaning I can listen to all three versions and make a division on who fits best and , DRUM ROLL... I like Mary Elizabeth McGlynn's voice on this trailer more than the new voice. Her love voice with this face works really well... Troy Baker on the other hand, I just still don't feel it.
@@Dax79 In general I feel that the original has a more burlesque tone, I like all of Laura's versions but I like the Remake more I like Eddie's first dub because he seems crazy just like the Remake, in this one he seems a bit weak I can't take Angela in the original so seriously, I like that tone of a childish and naive girl but she seems very old for her age, on the other hand in the redub (HD) she surpasses both dubs I like James' deep voice, it transmits feeling to me but in the Remake I'm liking it and finally Maria, all of her versions I love, in the first one she's more expressive, she knows how to interpret pain and feeling, she's very seductive too. but in HD she is more elegantly sexy although not as expressive In the Remake I would need to listen to her more (the letter at the end) to give an opinion but I find her very inexpressive even so I like her tone of voice Maybe it is not the actress' fault but the animation itself is so inexpressive whereas in the original she makes us fall in love
My friend watched the trailer having never played the game and didn't know what was going on I dont think it reveals much as much as it sparks confusion and people going like "what the hell is going on in this game like what even is the actual story?"
Bloober's last game, The Medium, took me a very long time to finish. I think they're among the best in the industry at creating mood and atmosphere so thick you can chew on them, and I spent countless hours just basking in it and appreciating all the little localisation details they scattered generously around the environments. I think they're the perfect team for a SH2 remake and I can't wait!
Yeah, its so good that the new trailer wS good! Finally a win for the SH community. I'm just a fan that though it would be interesting to see what it would sound like with the OG cast. Just a fun fan edit :)
When you said about the mirror room in SH3, I definitely agree. That room and one of the bathroom encounters in SH2 gave me some of the most terrifying scares while playing.

I do prefer the original prison scene but this is still much better than the HD remaster collection redub. It was so weird how they got so many premier voice actors and got the worst performances out of them. It was game taht made me stop being excited at Troy baker being cast in things cos his James was liek a bad William Shatner impression The only one who came out of that redub looking well was yuri Lowenthal as Vincent in SH3 HD. I thought the original was better but he did a good job and didn’t seem completely wrong like the rest them)
Yeah, your spot on. I think the issue is that they had to squeeze their vocal interpretation into the same moment with no real wiggle room to pause and preform. Troy Baker & Mary Elizabeth Mcglynn... and she directed. And all just didn't work. Thank goodness for the Guy Cihi legal voice battle that forced the original voice option to be added 😆
@@Dax79 the original cast isn't always perfect and there are some flubbed lines here and there but they fit the characters and felt like real people. While the HD redub actors are always ACKTING and it just feels like a performance. In the past, I've compared it to the difference between a passionate singer who doesn't hit every note versus a polished professional hitting everything in perfect key but has no soul to their performance
In the original, Maria was a lot more emotive in the beginning of the jail scene and suddenly switches her demeanor when she says I’m not your Mary. I don’t like how the remake completely misses that and instead it sounds like she’s just reading lines and is bored. I would much prefer if they’ve done the same where it feels like she’s gaslighting you.
Will she grow on us? I'm liking her "Maria" voice. I think the fact we can see her eyes changes the feel for the original. In the old one, you never know if Maria or Mary are looking at you with the shadows...
One word -AMAZING. If Konami had marketed it properly from the start we wouldnt have so many critics . This looks wonderful truly and now preordered....
Something that needs attention is the fact that fans who bought the physical edition dont have the ability to upgrade to the deluxe edition. I would have bought the deluxe edition (spent more money) if the deluxe edition wasn't exclusively digital. Having a physical copy is really important to some fans, myself included. Having a hard copy is slightly more important than 48 hour early access, but it feels silly to be excluded from that because of the medium I prefer.
Totaly. I got the "Game Exclusive" as its a steel book. Physical editions are a must for me especially SH games. I'm guessing we will be able to get all the downloads in time. Hopfully, due to where I live, our games sometimes get delivered 48 hours before the release so maybe the disk will work?. I would love the game early but a steel book is forever and will look sweet with all my other games!
I was lucky to spot it. I could buy the Download or the James Jacket during the release. I went for the Jacket then a few days later stumbled across the steel book. Yay!
Brother I disagree with what you’re saying about trailers. In the OG when I saw this almost same trailer, I didn’t have a clue of what was going to happen. Even after ending the game for the first time, I didn’t get the plot. Newcomers won’t have a clue of what those scenes mean.
To me, it almost feels like she's letting the façade drop a little. Not because she can't maintain it, but because she doesn't care to. She knows what James is and doesn't really like him, but she still needs to string him along through his punishment. So she perks up a little at the end with some false intimacy to motivate him to keep going.
I really hope they don`t screw it up completly. Medium was classic walking quest with few spooky moments. It was played safe. Silent Hill is not for that kind of approach. It never was. SH is raw, disturbing, on edge - anything but safe. Silent Hill movie (first one) was risky, made by fan for fans and heavy infuenced all the SH games after. But nowadays devs are afraid of risks and backlash of some internet weirdos, so they play safe. It could be fine. But I smell some chopping of details, of symbols, of some moments that made SH2 so unique. And it makes me sad.
We have to hope that when they released the graveyard scene they realised SH fans are a special breed. The magic is the undertone and untold secrets. Bloober Team are small like Team Silent, and we do have a few of Team Silent working closely with them. When I met Akira I had a good chat with him about SH2 and he is very passionate about it. With him closely working with them I think even him alone will make sure the fans are happy.
@@Dax79 good to hear something like that. Graveyard scene was kinda dissapointing (close to spit in the face, meh). It showed completly different Angela - an ignored and bullied highschool kid with some attitude (and don`t forget slim genderless body with big cheeky head). Original Angela was the embodiement of "fragile" even in speaking. So no wonders why people has some doughts about remake.
We do have a new game too, in fact we are being spoiled (Apart from "Silent Hill Ascension"... we don't talk about that) - "Silent Hill The Short Message" OUT NOW FREE - "Silent Hill Townfall" - "Silent Hill F" - And "Silent Hill 2 REMAKE" :)
