2010 Milan here. I've been trying to figure this out for *years*. I had come to the conclusion that the seat just didn't do this. I am so glad to find out I was wrong. I have never seen these pull thingies before, and swear that they must have been secretly installed by, I don't know, demons or something while I was heading to the garage to validate this video. But there they are, and although one of them jammed a little on me (since it hasn't ever been used since its manufacture), I finally got it to pop as well. I don't think I'll even bother putting my seats back up, this is much more useful.
