Hope everyone has a blessed year 😊 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
I had the album in the 90s and used this track for noise cancelling while studying. I had no idea that it would imprint on my brain in such a powerful way since. For the past 10 years I've been using it while working (coding) since it so quickly helps me focus, or get me into "the zone". There is nothing more calming and reassuring to me than "Waiting for Cousteau".
The best ambient / space / lo-fi / study - track ever! I was 15 when I first discovered JMJ with Equinoxe and I bought everey Album till the 2000s. But when this one came out, I knew this was JMJs Opus Magnum. Since then this is my background track to it whenever I have to do night-sessions, first at shool, learning or practising for tests, later at university during studing for exams and still now when its getting late at work. My familiy is sleeping, everything is quiet, I get a glass of whine an go through reports or writing texts etc. Nothing fits better to this than this tranquil track. When you close your eyes, and lie in bed you its easy to imagine to sink down with JYC or even deeper with Piccard down to mariana trench-absolute perfection. The only thing that can come even close to this bliss is Skyrims Atmospheres, comparable in lentgh and capable to evoke in the mind this atmospheric images...
I believe in the physical death as well as the ego, along with being reborn. I also believe it can be a process throughout life to continuously shed the old you so that you continue to grow infinitely. This is about the 3rd time I've hit that point and this song has been a marker in this new chapter of my life. Love it
