The force hologram idea didnt bother me, Luke lived on the island of the first Jedi for years, hes going to have delved into some ancient teachings of the early Jedi and learned some new abilities so that wasnt a thing for me. The movie is a mess and has so many missed opportunities, i hate the way Luke was handled. The whole space chase, well it says in the opening scrawl that the first order have conquered many systems in the galaxy, so wouldnt they like have a fleet that could intercept the resistance fleet from the other direction!? Thats always bothered me the most with that idea.
The rest of the Star Wars movies are a modern retelling of the heroe's journey - gaining skills, courage, integrity, overcoming great obstacles, being of benefit to the rest of humanity. The Last Jedi is all about failure, which, I suppose is the only subject Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy know intimately.
This movie was such a pile of shit! While I can suspend my disbelief while watching a movie the sheer number of times that I had to do this was respectful to movie goers. What they did to Luke Skywalker was beyond anything I could just look over and "enjoy". As an old school fan of the series I would say this one TLJ pretty much killed it for me. I will NEVER pay money to see another Star Wars film. Have you ever heard the tragedy of Star Wars the Last Jedi? It is a sith legend! Rian Jonhson subverted all our hopes and dreams of what this movie could be with cheap tricks that paid off at no point in the movie. A true tragedy!
Ehh I’d give it a 0/10 which puts it below all other Star Wars films cause damn it just isn’t good but really I don’t have issues with people liking it it’s just and overblown mess of a film with poorly handled plot and characters which had motives that didn’t make sense and it killed any possible excitement I could have had for any future Star Wars movie. I dunno it’s pretty much the end for me on this franchise so I’m going to do my best to move on. Also sorry for the long ass comment I just felt like venting some of my frustration about this film.
If a large empire ship cant catch up to the resistance ship, how could a tie fighter go faster to catch up? They couldnt. however they have many ships that can jump to light speed ahead of the resistance.

They are definitely going to retcon some things in ep.9, especially Snokes death. Can just see Disney doing the whole "Hah..aha..aah, you guys fell for it...you thought we actually killed off Snoke like that..aha.....are you buying this yet? <. <" lol
I am totally digging the animation and completely agree with your points. Wish you could animate some of terrible manner Daisy Ridley has in her way of playing MaRey Sue, especially overt mouthbreathing and eyegaping.
Bowbert yeah I know she has this really annoying gritting teeth look like at all times, I guess so she seems determined or some nonsense.. it’s quite noticeable in the force awakens when she meets Bb-8 and Says “your antennae’s bent” Teeth gritting.. lol why
Old star destroyer had no problem keeping up with millenium falcon and yet i'm supposed to believe, that FO has NO ships able to catch up with resistnce fleet? Why they didn't scrambled TIE's in the first scene even though it's what was always done at the very first sign of enemy fleet? Why not later after hyperspace jump? And what is this stupid idea, that all the ships have the same *ACCELERATION* [speed is irrelevant - those are not cars]. Mon calamari is just as fast as corellian corvette [also being outrun by star destroyer in very first episode of SW]? Rian has no f idea how basic physics works. Don't get me wrong - i do expect SW to be Space Aboce and Beyond or Babylon 5, but there is a threshold, when some thing become so far out to the realm of disbelief, that it throws me out of a movie. Not the plot, 'cos there was absolutely none and WHOLE film would be avoided if purple-haired tumblerina would just do, what is taught in the first class in military academy - communicate! Absolutely whole film. Finn and Rose wouldn't go to Monaco Planet, wouldn't meet Benicio, that would not later on told FO about cloaked ships and there would not be any land battle, Poe would do, what any sensible military man would do and that is to take control of clearly incopetent leader with what seemed to be a death wish or conluced, that she was f*** traitor. Cthulhu Fhtagn, that film was sooo STUPID.
There is no friction in space to stop the ship after it runs out of fuel. Unless there was a planet in fron of them nothing will stop the ship. You know you have a bad movie when the main plot is nonsensical. No one told Rian that this makes absolutely no sense?

I looked up IGN's Last Jedi review, and I noticed that they gave Blade Runner 2049 the same score XD Blade Runner 2049 is a masterpiece. The Last Jedi is a piece of shit. Oh IGN, you crack me up XD I'd give it 3/10 - At times it's visually impressive. That takes effort. At least SOME people involved pulled their weight!
I ain't seen it yet not gonna bother after hearing how they fucked up Luke and leia and finn and Rey parents and snoke and poe and admiral ackbar . Watched force awakens again since seeing it in cinema and it's a load of rubbish . rogue one was half decent , hope solo film will be ok
