Just received my order of SKOON litter. NOT very happy with it 😞. When my girls use the litter box then get out and went on a leather chair, her 👣 footprints were all over the chair?????
Hmm…IF I need to transition my cars the I think I won’t be using Skoon very long. It should not be a difficult process…but if it is then it is the wrong litter to be using.
Put it next to our boxes but nothing yet. I know it said not to but I did sprinkle some of their old litter on top so it "smelled" more like them (note it is hardly visibly noticeable and is a very very very light dusting)... Both cats keep investigating it, one of which hops in and out and PLAYS with the pebbles lmao, but neither cat has used it yet..... really hoping this pans out, I'm wanting a good non tracking litter so bad...
I ended up mixing the old litter and the new. I couldn't stand the smell of letting the old box sit and get dirty. Once I mixed them (mostly skoon with a little bit of (unused!) old litter just to cover the top) my cat started using it immediately. I understand why they say not to mix them. My old clumping litter is kinda falling apart into little pieces too small to remove from the pan. But I'd rather do this than have my entire house smell like a dirty litterbox or risk my cat finding somewhere else to do her business!
If you still have trouble with Skoon, I have found that pine pellets don't track and work well to control odor. The only issue with those is that my cats never bury their poo in it, so I have to scoop immediately when they #2 or suffer bad smells :c
My cat is doing the same. He stands outside the box, picks up a pebble in his mouth, drops it on the floor and bats it around. I put his dirty box of Pretty Litter next to the clean Skoon & he'll only use the dirty litter box.
