Hey Riley, I notice the compressor cycles off only for a few minutes then back on. Seems it doesn’t stay off very long before coming back on. I also hear a popping noise like from temperature expansion. Have you notice anything like that with yours?
@rileyinthewoods
@rileyinthewoods Месяц назад
I can't say that I've noticed, but mine has mostly been in the bed of my truck. Based on other fridges I've used, I don't think you should be hearing temperature expansion. I'm not sure if it's something to be overly concerned about, but I also wouldn't call it normal!

It seems obvious but....Do you simply unplug the camera relocation connection underneath the truck when you are taking the camper off?

Hey Riley, I am in the same situation with no rearview mirror and with the tailgate down, no reverse camera. My truck is a GMC Sierra and I am looking for an all-in-one solution where I can see the rearview of my truck camper full time (not just backing up) and record at the same time as a front and rear dashcam.
@rileyinthewoods
@rileyinthewoods 2 месяца назад
@@12northchad25 I'm not the best resource for dashcam information, but I have some friends who have used Wolfbox camera systems and been happy with them. I believe the primary advantage with such systems is that they act both as cameras and recording/security devices simultaneously, so it might be worth checking out!

Having installed two of these, the latest on my ‘22 F250, buy a pack of those white plastic clips before you do the install. It’s almost guaranteed you’ll either break some or lose them down in the dash. They’re on Amazon and are cheap. I left the rubber pad in there and drilled through it. I felt it kept the finished look underneath.

Thanks for watching! I would personally want something a little bigger for 5-6 days, but I eat a lot! My recommendation would be something closer to 35L, just to be on the safe side. If possible, maybe compare some similarly sized coolers at your local Walmart or sporting goods store. A visual reference helps me a lot!

Thanks for the video, I ordered the same parts and am about to install. After having used it for a while, how are you liking your mounting height? Does the 360 view work with the camera being higher up than stock? I was debating weather to mount above my camper door or next to it at the height of the tailgate.
@rileyinthewoods
@rileyinthewoods 3 месяца назад
Thanks for watching - hopefully, it helps! I like the height for backing up because it provides a full field of view with the tailgate down. I can see the edges of the tailgate, etc. It does work for the 360 view, but there are some blurry/obscured spots that distort the rear corners a bit. It's still functional and works well enough for me. I decided to prioritize having the camera centered over having it at tailgate height. I'm not sure which compromise would be better, but I'm happy with how the spot above the door has worked!

@adambomb5000 5 месяцев назад
@@rileyinthewoods I did get mine installed. I didn’t notice driver side or passenger being different in sturdiness but I have heard people have had issues with alignment. Mine was fine. My factory rubicon slider took some damage on a rock and it pressed against the body. Since the slider is rounded, it didn’t really cause much issue but this one having the sharper corner closest to the body, any damage would likely do some pretty significant damage to the body. We shall see. As a step, it is fine but not great like you mention.
@rileyinthewoods
@rileyinthewoods 5 месяцев назад
@@adambomb5000 I've heard of factory sliders doing that sometimes. Hopefully, the Bestop sliders take the damage rather than pressing inward like that - I'd rather have a dented slider than a damaged body. On a positive side, I do think they look pretty nice. Do you have the interior dimensions? And what do you mean by needing to watch out for humidity?
@rileyinthewoods
@rileyinthewoods 6 месяцев назад
According to ICECO's website, the internal dimensions of the two compartments are 13.3x10x7.5 and 6.1x10x2.8. I bring up humidity because it makes condensation more likely and can contribute to the growth of mold if the fridge isn't cared for and stored properly. With some simple cleaning and airing out, it shouldn't be an issue!
