I have listened lot of beat solo specially this portion but no body can replicate this masterpiece.... Never ever.....One of the greatest solos ever and the best by Van Halen.....RIP MJ n Van Halen ❤❤❤

I was born in the 70s and grew up watching MTV and followed MJ and this band all these years but never knew that EVH did this guitar solo until recently, like maybe a few weeks ago. Was this common knowledge in the 80s/90s or is this newly revealed information?
Yes , i just now listened to some covers by others of this solo , some folks do good job of covering it , but you can still tell the difference when it was Eddie playing it , If you haven't heard paul Gilbert's cover of Spanish fly here on RU-vid though that is some serious , serious playing.
It's not the fast playing thats impressive. It's the soul it's played with. I've heard people cover this solo and although they play it note for note it's just not played the way Eddie played it.
Os harmônicos da Frankenstein do Eddie só ela tem esse som. Quando Eddie emprestou a guitarra Frankenstein para a FENDER fazer 300 guitarras exatamente iguais, só uma peça não foi copiada. O captador de uma gibson 335 que tem na Frankenstein. Pois os técnicos da FENDER não acreditavam como aquele captador ainda tinha som, pois ele foi mergulhado em parafina quente e deu no que deu.
Fun fact: Eddie recorded his solo in his studio, 5150, because he didn't want to do it on the section of the recording where he was supposed to perform (meaning, in Quincy's production). Then, somebody cut the portion of the tape (containing EVH's solo) and sent to Quincy but the tape got screwed up and as a result, the original backing track was lost.
