I find it awful. I've had +10 trips on these seats in the past years, and every time I hate it more. Completely claustrophobic, very little shoulder room, outdated infotainment and having to step over someone if you have a window seat (unless you manage to book one of the 4 window seats with direct aisle access). Not to mention most of the seat padding is gone in the older planes. Club Suites were announced in 2019 and 5 years later only a fraction of the fleet have them. Air France, KLM and even sister airline Iberia have much better business products. I'd say only Lufthansa is doing worse, with their ancient 2-2-2 business seats... Hope BA speeds up retrofitting their planes so they can be competitive again
Nice to see that. Great mood lighting, service and special touches like the Love-Hearts. I was on the very last flight to Aberdeen. Staff were emotional, both at Heathrow and onboard, but they all did their jobs. Regulars were well wishing crew and pilots. It was a lovely experience.
Really enjoyable video, your opening footage from Prague was spectacular. G-EUPZ is still looking smart for a 23 year old aircraft. It's a shame BA didn't offer a more substantial meal given that this scheduled flight time is over 2 hours but the afternoon tea service is nice nevertheless.
I'm beginning to wonder if every flight has to have the compulsory crying child onboard. I reckon an airline which had adults only flights would do very well !
Didn’t notice anything, but this flight was at least 18 months ago now. Premium doesn’t have their own toilets on any aircraft in the BA fleet. The cabin is too small to justify it.
all I can say is that is unusual for LOT the seat and tray table where not ok. I can safely say that they got modified the aircraft and make it nice again. its a proper business class now.
Thanks for the video report James. The BA flight product and experience looked totally lack-luster and disappointing in my opinion. Your pillow didn't look that fresh and seemed previously used,?!, the main course for dinner all a bit 'supermarket special xmas dinner' ish and if I'm honest and what on earth was that for brekky and the green stringy bit trying to escape! Then the fiasco upon landing, which was not BA's fault but not a good home welcoming when everyone's tired and a bit cranky. Thank goodness normal service was resumed in the lovely arrivals lounge. But I loved the sounds of the GE90's on start up and their power on take off. Fantastic. PS: Where was everyone in Chicago? Great pics too and when I saw the Cathedral, did anyone else hear the "theme tune" of The Godfather? ;)
Loved the footage of Chicago - I've not been, just transited through the airport. I love the arrivals lounge - a great bonus to a trip to be able to properly freshen up and get fed and watered before starting your day. I must admit I've not been on that old BA J class but it looks so out of date now compared to the new cabins - nice video :)
19:56 how come you didn't just walk up the stairs at the back of the jetty or was it that you were at one of the satellite terminals so a Bus ride was considered quicker.
@@InflightWithJames But there are stairs at the back that you can walk up Ryanair often park beside the jetty's but don't attach them you go down the aircraft stairs then walk up the stairs behind the jetty.
Great video. I flew with Virgin on the Neo first time last October returning from JFK to LHR. I loved the seat and additional space and I'm flying with Virgin on the Neo UC again back to JFK in May. Can't wait. Thank goodness for points! Thanks James and subbed your Channel.
Thanks for your video, James. I agree, the flight, service & food seemed definitely lacklustre. What a shame. I also prefer the Neo. 😊. Plus, the guy standing up on take-off.... WT....!!! 😲 Hope you managed to get some comfortable 💤 too.
TBH For a first class flight I would've expected a first class meal like you get on a longhaul flight. When I flew in Club Europe (4 times) I got a hot meal and that was a 1,5 hours flight too. You pay more than 100 Pounds and get such disgusting service.
