Se kapealehtisempi kuin lehmus on vuorijalava. Veistoksellinen puu on metsälehmus. Tuija on todennäköisesti kanadantuija. Siperianpihta on siis pihta, ei kuusi.

Greetings From Oregon/Washington! Vanha kunnon Tampere upeiden jarvimaisemien ymparoimana. Tampere on edelleen suosikkikaupunkini siella kotimaassa. Siita on kuitenkin jo yli 30v. kun viimeksi olin maisemissa. Kaksi siskoani perheineen asuvat viela Tampereen alueella. On todella hieno filmi lintujen nakokulmasta katsottuna hyvan musiikin kera. Tassahan helposti tulee hieman koti-ikava sita katsellessa.

I like his music very much. Is it possible to write to the artist as a German viewer of his performance?

I liked the film because the artist showed woodworking. When I was a student myself and between the ages of 12 and 15, our school taught handicrafts. That was woodworking without machines. You could continue with your pieces after regular school time and I enjoyed it. I made an oval and an asymmetrical wooden bowl in class by hand. My teacher would have liked me to learn the trade of carpenter. Then I became an electrician. 15 years later I had a little daughter and when we went on vacation to Denmark I always put a small saw, a small hammer and lots of nails in the car. My daughter and I collected pieces of wood that washed up on the Danish coast and dried them if necessary. I showed my daughter how to saw off a piece of wood and how to join two pieces of wood together with a hammer and nails. I was very proud of my daughter how she managed with a little help and we showed mom the symbolic window without glass. ... and my daughter beamed with joy when her mum said: "You did a great job". When I saw Jaako Lathi chiseling out a groove, I thought of my daughter, who now has two small children of her own and I would be happy if she would also do handicrafts with her children. If they had painted my daughter's implied windows and declared it art, that would have been art. We also wanted to go fishing while we were on vacation, otherwise she would have painted the windows too.

The group makes decent, good music, but I'm more for shrill tones. … in the direction of the Chilean group Frank's White Canvas with their title "Secret Garden" It takes a lot of hard work for such a recording and I wish this group every success.

This film was translated into German, so I was able to follow the conversations well. THANKS! A story of a family of pharmacists that was very interesting to me was told and also reported about the production of lemonade by the pharmacist and his descendants. I found the pictures from a bygone era fascinating and the reports about the tasks and skills a pharmacist had/must have back then. I also found it interesting how much one can tell about lemonade - the philosophy of lemonade, so to speak. Ms. Matkassa can listen charmingly and the interviewee will certainly be happy to answer. We kept telling our daughter how a certain drink had changed in taste and that C.C. we don't like it as much today as it did 30 years ago. We were in England in 1997 and on the last day of vacation we still had 3 English pounds. We asked the waitress what else we could get for £3 and he replied, "A large glass of CC." My wife, daughter and I had to drink from the same glass as our English money was no longer enough for two small glasses. First my daughter took a sip and she said it was the best C.C. that she had ever drunk. This drink tasted like 30 years ago and I think it was invented by a pharmacist or someone who knows about chemistry. This closes the circle around this film with Sirkun, because lemonade was also invented by a pharmacist. When I saw this film with Sirkun Matkassa, I thought of this story that was set in England on the south coast. My daughter just had a new boyfriend at the time and probably because of that she had a great new haircut and she got a small glass of C.C. given. Unfortunately we don't!

Denniz conveys her ideas very sympathetically to the viewer of her art in the film. In doing so, she achieves more than she would with pure criticism. She wins the viewer over. I liked the way she conveyed her political thoughts to the listener.

Something completely different, I like small tapestries/rugs like this one by Denize. Lovely soothing colors that work very well together. Also rugs can have a political statement or be funny/serious as well. I would certainly have bought one of your beautiful works had I been in your exhibition.

If I haven't written a comment now, that doesn't mean I wouldn't have wanted to write a comment. Ms. Pesonen is certainly a great Finnish artist. Only a German who doesn't understand Finnish wouldn't recognize the many attributes that are in the explanatory text below the video: for example the good-natured, the relentless in your music. If she sang in English, I could write a comment. But that's a non-comment. But I feel from her music and her comments that she is a very nice person.

I find it difficult to bring out simple black and white contrasts. In the shot of the "Widow?" you notice that the colours bring a certain warmth to the picture. I need more structure in black and white pictures. When real film was still used for photography, highly sensitive black-and-white films suddenly appeared with which you could take pictures at night with a certain amount of residual light. On my holiday in Paris, I photographed with a tripod, perspectives with a lot of structure, e.g. an old house illuminated by a gas lantern, a parked car that was almost in the dark and an almost dark street. I don't really want to criticise, because that is the style of this artist and she likes it that way. In every artist, developments take place over time and I would be interested to see where these developments lead in the case of this artist.
