Reminds me of those days when a local morning show had literally zero budget. A host and guests would come in with their own clothes, hair, makeup. A backdrop would be whatever furniture or decorative panel was around. And it was entertaining!
Maybe someone could help me on here I'm trying to find this video of David on RU-vid or his website. It's him singing to this beautiful women in the audience he looks like he could be in his early 40's i cannot find it anywhere
It hurt me to see him like this. Almost truly unrecognizable and it wasn't just aging. Seriously. If we weren't told it was him, we may not even know. So sad!. I so wish his life hadn't been filled with so much pain. So tragic.
I saw Tom Jones in concert last night. He’s going to be eighty-three next month. He looks and sounds terrific. Sadly, it wasn’t aging that ravaged David Cassidy’s looks and voice. He was an alcoholic who continued to use until it killed him. David Cassidy passed away of liver failure caused by alcohol abuse. He didn’t die of old age. He was my tween crush. I choose to remember him as Keith Partridge.
I don’t care what David did, said, lied about, or didn’t lie about. He was a truly talented soul that lost his way due to alcohol. I will always love him dearly. See you on the other side David. RIP….Only wish you could have been happier in this life ♥️
Looking back to the publicity surrounding movie stars, musicians, legends, myths & memories.... Awwwe .40+ yrs in a very public life. Less than a year after this interview, our teen idol left the building. R.I.P. sweet sweet sweet man💙 David💙.
Donny has had a stable family, strong faith, values, support & integrity in spades. David was an only child growing up, no dad present, no acceptance by dad, lifestyle choices were rebellious & dangerous, did not have a strong sense of self or understood how very much he truly was loved. He was a wonderful actor...he couldn't seem to accept he was a good actor AND singer...
When a parent doesn’t love you ( it happened to me too ) you will do anything to dull the pain, anything. Drinking and drug abuse, it’s a self - harming behaviour because no matter how successful you become, you know - and have always known since you were a child that you are a shitty person. I knew from I was a toddler, that my mum didn’t like or want me - I heard her talking about me, I heard what she said to other people. Something like that, at an early age, stays with you your whole life. RIP David 🌹you never claimed to be a saint. Xx
I'm not trying to be a a troll here but even his prime David Cassidy had a reputation for being an arrogant jerk. He blew all his money and ended up (as we see here) a drunk. For a while toward the end he tried to claim it was dementia but he later admitted that was just a lie to cover the alcoholism. Of course alcoholism is also a disease. I have mixed feelings about whether to feel sorry for him or not. He was never a very nice person and part of me thinks he deserved what he got, but then again does anyone deserve what we see here? I dunno.
David Cassidy brought such happiness to so very many teen age girls, back in the 1970s. I was dating back when I Think I Love You hit the charts. I will not ever forget, when my then boyfriend (later my husband) said to me, "I think I love you. " So, it does make me sad, what David went through, because at the end of the day, we are all human, and to be human is to err. I choose to remember David Cassidy as the gorgeous heart throb that he was. I am so sorry that some of his choices have triggered harsh words from some folks who never walked a day, in his shoes. At any rate, he is now in a better place, and I for one, think that the world was a better place, with him in it.
Anyone out there know how we can get to see the Documentary here in the UK ?? - Maybe someone out there could upload it here onto 'You-Tube' ?? - Please message me if you do! - Thank you! x
Robbie - same here in Australia, I have tried everything I can think of, vpn to other countries, streaming services, purchasing or renting, It’s seems only to be available in USA. When I tried to source it from there using my Visa card it was fine until I entered my postcode and then the site rejected me. I’ve just given up because I ran out of options. 😢
I hated to see him go like he did ...he fought alot of demons in his life and alcohol is a real disease that destroyed his life. I wish him peace and Love where he is now . Thank-you for all the great memories and songs David. .
His voice sounds so different, not him at all. I've read that Alcohol can affect a singers vocal cords. Oh David, I'm so sorry that you went through this in your life ❤
@2girlbmuffydcassidy I was reading something very interesting today if you google this website Ashwood Recovery at North Point is explains very explicitly on why David was bound to go through addiction in his life, if you get to read it let me know what you think
I saw him in the Broadway play Blood Brothers. He was great in the play, and he looked terrific. All the very best in life David. Stay well& remember your fans will always love you.
He was suffering from Alzheimer's disease and a bunch of other stuff related to alcoholism. Two months after this he collapsed on stage, and less than a year later, he was gone.
So sad comparing this to the Piers Morgan interview where he was lucid ,highly intelligent, candid and positive about managing his alcoholism .Alcohol is a terrible drug to be addicted to . RIP David Cassidy your beauty adorned every inch of my bedroom when I was 13 .
I just watched the Piers Morgan interview before this one. David said he wouldn't ever drink again in the Morgan interview. But did he? Also what year was the interview with Piers Morgan?
@@garfield4108 on here the piers was 8 years ago this 6 years ago .He clearly succombed again .It's a hard drug to kick and so readily accepted in society . He apparently admitted to alcoholism and alcohol poisoning being the cause of his incoherence and said it wasn't dementia . Poor man .
@@frostyperma4789 Yes just noticed that there are only 2 years between these two interviews. Piers Morgan 2014. This latest 2016. What an incredible difference. He was still recognisable as David Cassidy in the Morgan interview. A terrible decline in this latest one. So sad. I had never realised David had succumbed to this and ended up in this state. In fact I didn't know he had died. What a shame. Bless him. It's fascinating how so many celebrities fall into the alcoholism ditch. And the results are noticeably devastating.
This is kinda painful to watch, especially when he says he doesn’t drink. He suffered from a terrible affliction that he just couldn’t conquer. But he was still an amazingly talented man and he is missed greatly 💔💔💔
