Nice upgrade! I've been having my Z06 calipers and rotors for a couple of years now. I just haven't had the time to install them. Will finally make time to install them.

Thanks for the video. I'm doing some of the same stuff you are. Specifically, I'm trying to provide more sound deadening to the cargo area. Not because I've got some killer stereo, but because I've got aftermarket exhaust, and the construction of the corvette allows a lot of that exhaust sound to come through. More of it than I'd like. The "sound deadening" material GM uses, those felt pads underneath the carpet, just aren't that effective. Good sound deadening material is DENSE and HEAVY, not light. There are light weight "acoustic panels," but those aren't for sound deadening, they're for sound reflection minimization, like in a recording studio. I'm sorry you broke the cargo storage lid. That's a freekin' shame. I HATE that! You are showing the EXACT spot I'm stuck on too: the clips holding the carpet by the storage compartments.
I am glad that I can help you. I just added an 8in subwoofer in the back and it kick’s pretty hard. In my opinion that sound deadening helps. I am doing another video soon. I will give everyone feedback later on.
@@batvette3523 I went down that subwoofer rabbit hole in my Nissan where I had dual 12 inch subwoofers. I have a single 15 inch in my house. Subwoofers are as much voodoo as science. There is SO MUCH to deal with there. I built my 15 myself. The biggest issue is power. A car with a 12 volt battery just doesn’t have the juice for anything serious. The corvette adds the problem that there just isn’t much room. I added Bluetooth for the iPhone so I could keep the factory OEM Bluetooth speakerphone and it interfaces with the XM satellite receiver. There is so little room in the car that the XM receiver is crammed into a little vacant space over the left rear wheel-well and the antenna is in the left side view mirror! That’s why the mirror costs like $700 to replace. Room for a sub? That’s voodoo. My car is a daily driver and I need the cargo area for cargo. I tucked some sound deadening in there, but it could be better. In order to do an even mediocre job you have to almost take the entire interior completely apart. Everything is attached to everything else. It’s almost like you need to buy the car new, with everything you want, nothing you don’t, and then never mess with anything. With electric car mandates here in Cali, I just couldn’t see spending 80 large on a new C8 when who knows what the future holds, what they’ll let us do here. It’s sad when the politicians tell you what you’re allowed to buy as if they know what what’s best. I’m just as smart as they are. Smarter. I had the extra wrinkle in my carpet removal not shown in your video that the previous owner had gone and hot glued the carpet down in some areas around the snaps so I’m tugging and pulling and figurin I’m yanking the guts up and now I’m going to have to put the project on hold and buy stuff because something broke. Thank God for RU-vid channels like yours.
@@batvette3523 Thanks for the encouragement. I completed the sound deadening (for now) and also wired in a Bluetooth adapter into the XM receiver at the same time so that I can play tunes from my iPhone. It's quieter, but I want it more quieter, so I'm going to have to disassemble the entire cargo area, and for that I need it in the garage because of he struts holding the hatch. A project for another day. I'm also switching the mufflers out for resonators to see what effect that has. It's all good. See you on the streets sometime. I’m looking at purchasing the quick jacks 5000TL for my c6. Dose it reach both of the lift points? One Video said they were only able to use one of the points
Yes! It reaches both points, with the short blocks. If you check out my instagram, you'll see that I use it quite often indoors and outdoors in some of my videos.

I have been doing it for years with out a problem. But remember I don't use the car that much because I am always working. And I also don't use it in the winter.
