Hello and welcome to my RU-vid channel. Here we play with RC vehicles constantly. I really enjoy the scale side of the hobby focusing on scale trail trucks. I have recently dipped my toes into the RC Construction side of things and found it to be extremely enjoyable and fun. If you like what you see and want to stick around go ahead and click the Subscribe button. It costs you nothing. I like reading comments and respond to all of them. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you soon.
Thanks. Just something I had laying around. Turned out pretty good but it doesnt stay in place very well. Might try a little hot glue on the under side of it.
Thanks for watching the video. If you enjoy these types of videos click the like button and subscribe to the channel. It helps videos like this reach more viewers. Take care.
@@badm0t0rf1ng3r Well that sucks. Hopefully they took care of you. Mine has been great so far but I just trail it. Slow and scale. Thanks for the comment.
Don't forget to peel the reflective sticker off of the plastic on your motor box. They look great on the truck window. Those vanquish axles are so smooth over rocks! Nice new member to your fleet!
It really does look like a strong machine basically stock. Your personal touches look good. You are not wrong about the sticker sheet. Sticker sheets are a huge part for me. A full set is a small touch that should be included.
@@gerrysoldguyreview I’m extremely happy with this rig. As mentioned in the video your Fordyce videos convinced me I needed one. Thanks for the comment Gerry.
Is this a teaser? Where is part two? I’m trying to help my dad do the same on his Polaris Ranger. He’s 88 and trying to do some crazy stuff even involving an angle grinder that I can see is going to cause more damage. Where is your part two? I can see it’s been over a year since part one was posted. Why don’t you post the second half it would really help us.
@@toeshifter Got inspired & ordered the straight axle kit, did you end up changing it up for the larger (45 tooth) spur and smaller (9 tooth) pinion? and if not, has it killed the motor being geared up now? Thanks much bud!
@@Beaula2 I did change the pinion but not the spur. I’ve smoked 2 motors so far with high gear/high speed long runs. I’ve recently installed a Fusion SE and a new Blazer body. Also calmed my driving a bit. 🤣
Great running footage! I'm still looking for a stand for my iphone to get it even lower. Stuck with using rocks and sticks at the moment. The selfie stick only gets so low. Good job with the interaction too. I'm never on camera and only rarely say anything. Anyhow, I enjoyed it! Cheers!
@@MysticRiverRC Appreciate the comment. I’ve gotten away from using my phone like I used to. I’m using a GoPro on a very short tripod currently. It just depends on the video. A phone in a gimbal is great for 1/10 scale stuff.
I just posted the photo to my RU-vid channel. This is just a crude prototype. A good friend of mine is going to 3D print one for me out of clear plastic so It will look good on the transmitter. Then I will glue it in place. I know this a crude way to solve the problem but even the crude prototype works great.
I found a solution to the tipper problem being activated accidentally while steering the dump truck. Reply to this comment and I will send you a photo. It works great.
@@toeshifter can I send a photo through RU-vid if not send me your e-mail and I will send a photo.I'm not sure how to send a photo through your RU-vid channel.
I'm sure it'll go to a good home.... These things are a lot like our pets in some ways We learn their attitudes from stock to modified I only have two ground rc's and one is in need of a rebuild from a nasty flip...more Ike a kartwheel really lol The other is my crawler...redcat everest 10 The one that took a nasty flip is a redcat shredder I couldn't part with either of them honestly
@@yrusonoz5574 Yeah I get it. Not an easy choice for sure. Especially after watching this run footage. It’s a smooth runner and looks good. Thanks for the comment.
@@8bitisthesh1telwell74 nice! I am usually alone also with the exception of my dog. But this was a welcomed change. Nice to see other rigs for inspiration. Thanks for the comment.
So Glad You Got You One Now My Friend 😊 Looks like you have started some custom touches of your own that work well for you already 😉 Can't wait to see what you do to This Purty Rig 🙏💯😎
Just watched your great video. Now subscribed to your channel. I like what you had to say at the beginning, about doing it for yourself and the enjoyment you get when you combined both your interests and hobbies. I have been watching a number of scale builders and runs over the last few months as I have an interest in photography/video. This is a new interest to me (or regained after many many years, when I had a couple of remote controlled vehicles, the level of detail and usability of the new RC’s have come along way.), thank you for reconfirming my interest levels in this harmless hobby. I have made a considered choice for my new RC, it has to be the Axial CJ Jeep, they look so usable straight out of the box and offer such a wide choice to custom them as you gain experience with these amazing little vehicles. I’m already thinking about the mods that I might do to improve the Jeep after I get my hands on one. Thanks for your honest and well produced content, I will be sure to stay tuned in to your channel. Who knows how my interest will progress when it becomes a hobby soon. Take care and looking forward to see what you do to this rig and your future endeavours. 👍 Thanks, regards Mac
@@dirkmcfarlane-aitken5719 thank you for the great comment and subscribing to the channel. The Axial CJ7 is an excellent choice for getting into the hobby. The realistic appearance and abundance of molded plastic parts make this a capable and well built truck. All the lexan is protected which will prevent cracking and breaking. The body mounts are hidden underneath making it awesome for photo and video. I’m sure you will enjoy it. Thanks again and welcome back to the hobby.
Thanks for your reply, these are hard to get ahold of here in the UK, it looks like everyone is sold out and waiting for new deliveries. Fingers crossed they don’t take too long to restock. I will let you know when I finally get myself one of these beauts. I was interested to see your comments on the shocks and looking at the way your truck sits, runs and overcomes the challenges you have made a well informed good choice with the changes you have made. It was also refreshing to see someone who is overall pleased with the electronics stock set up. Catch you soon. Keep on trailing 😃. Mac
I’m with you, I have 3 vehicles with the DX3 , love it. My SCX6 especially, without a battery monitor built into the radio, getting stuck with a 30 LB rig and a dead battery would suck . I use what I like, people don’t like it or hate it, too damn bad. Keep up the great work man 👍
I like the looks of it. I am wondering about the height... the top of my stock softail windshield is right at eye level for me and I hate it, I need a lower height windshield. This one looks lower but I can't tell.
