Im 13 and got locs when i was 11, i honestly thought my hair was ruined and id have to cut it all off (my hair is almost knee length) this is my first day trying and i have around 50 locs. I was allowed to take them out for my birthday thats in a week, It takes me a bit longer because i dont have a proper comb but so far i should be done in time! Thank you for this video

You would be able to maintain your length regardless (as long as you maintain your locs). However, no matter the method used, due to the nature of our afro-textured hair it will shrink, especially after washing
Heavy oils such a *MINERAL OILS* will do that to the pores. Because if what you were saying were true, we all would have clog pores over our bodies when we apply natural lightweight oils to our faces and entire body.
The conditioner really doesn't matter at all, as long as it's a cheap one as stated in the video. The reason I blocked it out was because it has a Hemp (marijuana) leaf on the front as that's the selling point of the product. And knowing the internet some people are not quite educated on benefits of certain natural ingredients; so I decided to save myself that headache, but it seems like blocking out the conditioner has created a whole other questioning I did not anticipate 😅
@kieshaarielle I understand but I'm not one of them my daughter wants her locs out so I just saw your video and thought is was the best to go with 🤞🏿 but I understand some people are just low minded about things🤣
Thank you for the suggestion. I tried that and hated it...maybe it's cause I left the fenugreek to soak as long as the clove (2 days) and the fenugreek had like a slimey feel and it made the water cloudy. But, fenugreek is in the oil I use 🙃
One thing I miss about the TWA phase is that it’s easier to rigorously massage the scalp. I’m gonna grow with you; i did a BC last year and I think I’m in the middle of a resting phase, but trying to get to WL as well!
@@kieshaarielle I’m at shoulder length. My routine is wash & DC once a week. -Aloe water spray and moisturize every few days. -Hendigo once a month. -oil scalp every few days.
I am only 11 months in and I just want to take down & restart. I think I’d like them to be a little bigger and hopefully go to someone that can make them all the same size. Not some bigger than others. Anyway, since I’m not even a year yet do you think they will be easier to take down?
Kiesh my my its been a long time, damn I chew 3 cloves every other day but i never thought of using clove water for hair. I drink oregano and cinnamon water. The short hair has most certainly made you look a decade younger. A literal transformation

Actually it does look pretty, but that wouldn't work for me! Me myself would have let it grow out slowly and slowly cut off the heat damage wearing some other style like an updo or something

With my shed hair I put it in empty toilet paper rolls and fold the ends and then just throw it away in the trash. I figure if somebody wants to get it that badly they'll have to go through a lot. How have you been and how are the babies now I bet somebody's right outside my door going through my trash opening up empty toilet paper tubes just to get hair out of it.😂
Hey Sable that's funny 😁 😂...sometimes I would roll my hair in toilet paper and flush it, but not large quantities of my hair though. Currently, trying to get baby girl's sleep routine back on track. Ever since I started weaning her from the breast her sleep routine has been out of wack

Clearly you didn't watch the 4min video to see that I did complete the one loc recorded for the video. Secondly: where was it mentioned that the ENTIRE head was combed out in 20mins? Don't worry I'll wait...also clearly you lack listening skills as I stated it took me 20mins or so to complete one loc. So, clearly the video was titled well and in line with the content of the video. What I do is I dye my hair black/dark brown to hide the lint! Then as they grow, I can trim and cut off the lint-y locs. Another alternative is only combing out the locs with a lot of lint and re-doing them.
Not sure where my comment went, but I am not a big fan of supplements as such as I prefer getting trace minerals from natural food sources that doesn't contain all those bulking agents that cause more damage than good
