Just bought one same colour here in Australia. Only gripe is the soft front suspension I’ll probably upgrade this and a pipe that’s stained beyond repair.
You’re absolutely right, for me sport bikes just didn’t do it anymore. I’ve taken my cbr600 on multiple holidays so I know that it’s possible from my own experience.
I've put 50k on mine (it's at 90k)...for me its that no road/track is out of bounds. Couple that with the telelever and the comfort and you just don't need to stop (does anyone want to stop a good thing). Nice film work (and enthusiasm)👍👌
I was also looking for a Kawasaki W800, A Triumph Speed Twin 900 and a Royal Enfield 650 interceptor but while they may more have the retro vibe they also weigh more and and have less power. The Kawasaki is lighter and more power. And if you don't look after these mentioned motorbikes the chrome will look very nasty.
@@two-wheel-tales Yeah I'm not necessarily planning on going 190kmh all the time, but maybe something like 160kmh every once in a while. i'd hope that it can comfortably do that, yknow just to have fun and do a little pull for a couple of kms or to pass a car or something like that. do you think it'd do that comfortably or should I look for something with some more pep to it?
That's a great tribute to your R1200R! 😎 Sorry to hear you've sold it,but I hope you enjoy the GS. I'm about to move to a new city, and I'm glad my R1200R is coming with me! 🙂
@@two-wheel-talesit was the home on the road bit. I rode an 80/7 for many years and at times it was my only home❤ Thanks for reminding me it’s about time to get back on a Boxer❤
@@two-wheel-tales i have the 94 model, after many years without a motorcycle.....2 thing's to notice: first is the hall sensor, replace it with a water proof one (about 120 e)and second the bearing's on the Shaft (about 200 e) and you re done! I hope i wrote everything correctly 😂
It's hard to find good riding videos about Z650RS. It's a wonderful bike, I love it. Thank you for the video. I really like to start recording my own videos with my Z650RS, but IDK where to start or what to buy.
It’s great to hear you enjoy the videos! I use an insta360rs. Great little action cam. I record my audio with an old school zoom h1n. You can start with a free video editing software like davinci resolve. Let me know if you’d like to know more!
Love the soundtrack music. I bought the 50th anniversary edition, Red and Brown. Love just looking at it. Being in my 60s, the style is what attracted me to this bike. Reminds me of my dad's motorcycle he rode in the 70s. Perfect power and handling for me. Just wish my knees would love the bike as much as I do. Thanks for making the review,
Hallo...
I feel you man! Got my 1994 R11000 GS at the end of last year. Started with motorcycling after a almost 20 year break from it. I love everything about the GS, also that is has some "charakter" - especially while shifting. :D The GS (and other adventure bikes) is all about freedom. Go where you want to go and dont know where the road ends! Greetings Tafka
Hi Two Wheel Tales, I own a 1100 GS by myself. I'm happy with that old baby! Can you give me some answers about your setup? First, what kind windshield are you using? Are you happy with it? What kind of tires you use for on/offroad. I'm about to install the Heidenau K60 Scout on my GS. And last question - whats that round gimmick with the "V" on your handlebar? Greetings Tafka
On the video you can see an MRA windscreen wind an added windbreaker on top of it. At this point I've replaced it with an original BMW windscreen because I broke the MRA while dropping the bike off road. It worked great for breaking the wind but I could not see as much as I wanted because of its height. The original windscreen provides me more value for the kind of riding I do. I've got two Metzeler Tourance tires on it, which provide a good mixture for enduro riding. I don't have anything to compare it to but I've got more than enough grip on road to keep up with the sporty bikes and I'm able to get trough very slippery muddy terrain off road. The V on my handlebar is the Beeline Moto navigation system, I think it's a great little navigation which provides me with all the information I need to go on an adventure and still get me home safe. Thanks Tafka! Much appreciated
The windscreen is great, it's from a brand called Puig. It does its job of breaking wind with highway speeds fine, but you should not expect any wonders of it. I think it's a great mix of looks and comfort without compromising on the retro vibe of the bike.
@@two-wheel-tales oh great! I'm looking to buy a 1100 GS and I was worried about the seat height. Please keep the vids coming there are not many vids on the 1100 on youtube. Maybe share some servicing and maintanance videos of her!
Wunderbahr! Went Sie aus Deutschland kommen, Exellent fuer alle andere Laendern. Haben Sie immer eine gute und sichere Fahrt. Mit besten Wuenschen aus Belarus.
I just bought a 650RS. I'm not a fan of the low seat and I wish the foot pegs were a bit lower. It's the most nimble and quickest bike I have ever owned. The total weight with me on it is just over 600 lbs.😊
I had one a few years ago but couldn't get on with it.Got rid of it and a few bikes later I now have a R1100R which I really quite like.No logic to this choice at all.
The Exhaust is Strangled by Euro Emissions & Noise Levels, Kawasaki Have to Comply with but There is a Bit come of A Growl from the Air Box Under the Tank. You Hear When Riding... Yamaha have done this Trick too Putting a Griil on the Tank So the Sound comes up from The AirBox
This is the Julierpass in Switzerland. This is side of the mountain connects to Italy. The other side was even more beautiful in my opinion. Definitely a hidden gem 💎
BeeLine moto, makkelijk te gebruiken in combinatie met de app. Is even wennen maar als je ‘m door hebt heerlijk om zonder al te veel toeters en bellen te navigeren.
Considering that Harley Davisons are the worst cornering motorcycles in the world, if you take a riding course and learn how to do hairpin bends, next time you'll definitely give them the dust. 👍
