So I test rode a GSXS750 today and I loved riding it, however the idle wasn’t choppy/rough like it was at the start of your video. Is there a reason for this? Does it do it all the time or just on cold start, or is it only sometimes it does it? I absolutely love the sound of the rough idle and wondered why it wasn’t doing the same thing on the bike I tested
Hey bro, I think that's just how it is. I didn't find it too choppy but I did notice that it smoothed out quite a bit after a tune when I got decat headers, I didn't make a video with them though :(
Cool bike and video. I remember back when learning on my 250 gama. The importance of setting up for the pass. I couldn't just pull out and wack the throttle open. It would take to long, 38 hp just isn't going to get it done in a timely manner. I intentionally had to hang back, and build up my speed while still coming up from behind the vehicle. When I actually pulled out to pass? I would have had 20- 30kmh of speed built up over the vehicle I was over taking. For me these bikes were all about learning how to carry momentum
ive got that same bike, black and i got a Q4 coming today. cant wait. i actually ordered it by accident i wanted the powercore, im worried the q4 isnt going to give me that thump i want. but after this video it sounds like it does
Hi what a nice work you’ve done on the bike but i have a question The Evotech Performance Crash Protection i found is only for the 1000 cc bike is it compatible with the 750cc and is it the one you have it on or not? Thanks and stay safe.
Hey there, sadly I don't think the 1000 ones fit as I was going to get the frame sliders but they were discontinued for the 750. I did have the evotech axle sliders but went with T-Rex Racing for the frame sliders which I liked a lot.
great videos man, keep up the blessed work. would you rather daily ride a drz400sm or have this to mess around with from time to time? (i'm trying decide which bike to get at the moment haha, the drz seems like a good time all the time, but this video is turning my head a bit)
The KTM is definitely not good for an only bike if, so if you already have a bike and are looking for a fun second this is great. However, the DRZ is both a good only bike or a good second bike too. I've already sold this KTM as it was just too much work to worry about servicing etc as it's a high performance bike not made for street use haha. Whereas the DRZ has service intervals like a normal street bike. Maybe also look into converting the new CRF300L into a supermoto as it's more modern than the DRZ but I don't have any experience with those. Goodluck!
I'm considering to buy the MC22 as my beginner sports/performance bike here in Brisbane. I'm kind of wary about buying it because of its age but the high revving 4cyl engine is tempting since nowadays its hard to find a sub 300 bike with that kind of specs. What do you suppose the stuff I should look into when buying one and what are the stuff which require constant maintenance in the bike?
From what I can tell it's mostly just standard bike maintenance. I just got one and there's nothing particularly special about it that requires special maintenance. Maybe just change the oil regular like every 2-3k miles as it's so high revving
@@Winkles. I no longer have the bike anymore but this was with just the slipon and baffle in. I got a full system and a tune later on but the sound didn't change much. However with the baffle out I found it too loud
Hey mate, what do you use to record? A go pro? Unsure what camera to get (want to get one to record in case of an accident) and I am concerned something square like a go pro might be uncomfortable/bulky. There is another camera called a "contour" but I am not sure if the quality is up to par with a go pro etc.
Hey mate, yeah a gopro but I think they would take up a lot of space if you're gonna use it as a dash cam. They probably make something specifically for that.
@@nz-mc2290 thanks for the reply mate. Been tossing between a versys 300x and the cbr250rr (japanese import pre 1994) for a while now. The latter is much cheaper than the former, and I like the non-digitial gages. Not sure if it would be fit as my first bike though.
@@eymanyouwell Yeah from every aspect the Versys would be a better first bike haha. Luckily I didn't have to commute much with my Honda, it didn't give me any issues anyway. But you are always taking a risk with an older bike, so it's really up to you and your needs.
Nice! Good bit of road too. Not too many cameras or blue lights. Could not recognise it. Did you change traction modes half way around a corner when you saw the road was wet? Please help. What screen have you got? Does it help the air flow. I have test ridden a coople at Colmans and Holeshot and found that the wind flow is rougher than other nakeds as the speed get up and hooks under my chin. No so bad on Street Triple or Z900. I like the GSX, thoughts on the screen?
Cheers! Yeah I changed to TC 2 because those roads are super slippery in the wet. The bike has the S2 Concept Screen, doesn't really help too much to be honest but I just liked the look haha. However you could say it stabilizes the wind quite a bit but its still a naked bike so there's still going to be quite a bit of wind.
