Greetings! I am knits4sanity, but I do a lot more than just knit (although, that is my first and lifelong love). After falling in love with diamond painting, I decided to start a RU-vid channel to get to know the community and to share my diamond painting, knitting, and general crafting journey with others who may relate to my interests or my life as a neurodivergent mom of four, busy kids.
Hi, your Son makes me giggle, he's so cute. Yes to the U-Tube WIP 'n' Chat. Yes, I do totally understand what you are saying and feeling. Hang in there, I think you're an awesome person. Sending loving and calming vibes your way. Cheers, from Australia.😊
I totally understand what you mean about expenses. So many regarding school. My daughter goes back to college soon. Books, tuition, car/insurance and first year in an apartment 😩. Cars and car insurance don’t get me started.
I almost didn't stop to watch a previous video when I saw "knits4sanity" while I was browsing youtube bc I don't knit. I tried to learn to knit & crochet at one time when I was much younger, but my brain & fingers refused to cooperate. I learned cross stitch & embroidery in my twenties, but my eyesight worsened as I aged. Currently, at seventy I like diamond painting & your recent video about buying diamond paintings on Temu caught my attention. I go back & forth on this issue constantly & still haven't made a permanent decision, but I really liked the video. My intention for commenting today before I digressed into a whole other discussion at the beginning, is to let you know how much I appreciate you showing your face. I often wonder what the content creators look like & while a few of them show their faces, I get that not revealing facial ID as a content creator is a personal choice. It wasn't until this video that I realized that I like knowing what a content creator looks like bc I feel a more personal connection. I just wanted to let you know my opinion on showing your face & that I appreciate it. It doesn't matter to me whether you or other people with youtube channels show their faces on every video or not, but it's nice to match a voice with a face at least once. I enjoyed getting to hear about you & your stories, so thank you! 🥰
I bought the spring and summer mystery kits and the ghost you have and it's companion kit I want to do one of the ghost ones for Halloween this year.....I haven't done any of the bella kits yet....looking forward to doing them
Ooo! I wanted to get the companion kit to my ghost so badly! But, you know, money. 😜 Definitely share yours when you get it done. I have worked on one Bella Art previously and it was a dream!!
some of us don't give a toss that they are not the best quality because we want to try the craft but just as everything in life the poor get told to get f'ed. We need these cheap kits because it means the less fortunate can still do a craft and not give too tosses what those of you with money think. In fact I have a few of them and my mate told me she has the same on of stitch but how could i afford it. I laughted at her and just said i saved as she didn't find anything that looked different stop showing off your money, Unsubbing sorry, BYE
Yes … I realize the day will come when I will need bifocals … But I’d rather get old than the alternative! I don’t care that much about my appearance, but face videos are just not the usual bc I’m generally diamond painting or showing off things I want the viewer to see up close. But I agree that sometimes it’s nice to see who you are listening to.
I'm glad that work has picked up for you. I can only imagine how difficult it is trying to jump through all the hoops just to try and get them proper care.
Some cases are harder than others, but for the most part, people find it easier to turn a blind eye to our most vulnerable citizens. Or even worse, see them as only depleting resources. This is not true for everyone, of course!
Oh my! HAHAHA! Umm, thank you for your face to camera? It hasn’t been that long ago(right after your retreat) that you did a video showing your face. Anyway, hi! Glad I got to see you! I’m not sure what your occupation is, but I work with Intellectually/developmentally disabled adults. It’s very difficult at times to get the resources they need! It is very frustrating and heart breaking. All humans matter. That’s all I’m going to say about that! So thank you for sharing your lovely face and the talk! ❤❤❤
I am a Supports Coordinator for disabled adults. Yes … It was right after I posted an hour long video of me talking directly to the camera that I started getting comments about needing to show my face. Ummm … 🤷♀️
@@knits4sanity oh my goodness! People! Oh my I didn’t realize you worked in that area. I was the nurse for a couple of agencies in the SCL world for a while. Now I foster those people in my home. I have a son that was Diagnosed with Mild ID, and a grand daughter that is autistic. But I’ve worked in nursing homes that that ended up with many of these people that had no where else to go. I absolutely love them! Thank you for what you do! And thanks again for the “face to face,” hahaha! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I ordered Feathered Duet today along with a Baby Snow Leopard kit. Thank you for the review and for pointing out the protective film on the divider! I didn't realize it had this and it looks a lot prettier! 🥰 I'm working on the Dreamer canvas, Collective Consciousness by Mikey Bergman.
Hi Valerie🤗 Very pretty and in the perfect size!!! I'm so happy that they make these smaller kits now and that you can choose between round or square!! Perfect😃
I agree! What attracted me initially was the "medium size," but learning you could pick your drill type really made it awesome. So what if the shipping takes longer?
Thank you for the very comprehensive video. 😀 Unable to sleep, I listened and passed 97 levels of candy crush during the video. This time was well spent for sure! I plan to give temu a try and enjoyed all of your critique's.😊
Thank you! I put a lot of work into this video, and the positive comments that recognize that mean the world to me. I also wasn’t sleeping and just spent the time playing Match Factory. 😂
Thank you for this video! I have found things via Google Image from Temu and not been sure the other place/person didn't also steal/borrow that image. It's very hard to tell. Just because someone put it on Etsy or elsewhere doesn't always mean it's their original art either. I'm just saying it's confusing for me. Also, names like Senterwan are just wild guesses as to what sounds like an English brand name -- most of the ones on Amazon that are from Chinese companies have nonsensical odd names. Senter would not be Chinese -- wan does sound Chinese -- but Senterwan doesn't mean anything and isn't Chinese.
Excellent insights. Thank you. This is why I contacted the artist directly to confirm that was her work (and to get her permission to use and share it with everyone), because you are right . . . You don't know. And, yes, the names are rather ridiculous. Haha!
TY for sharing this w/us today! Nice unboxing & beautiful image & gorgeous colors! And omg I love anything stained glass or super bright colors/rainbow, etc 🎉❤ Waaaaaahhhhh! 😭🤣😭🤣😭 I'm sooooo naughty, I love Dreamer Designs...& had bunch of rewards/a BOGO50, etc....and bought 5 (all "rainbow" 🌈🌈🌈🌈) kits from them today...which I can pay for "later" if u get my drift 😂 Ugh! (naughty) OMG...I hadn't bought anything from them since June 2023...so that makes it ok, right?! 😂😂😂😮😮😮 Anyway, what's done is done & I'm shut off for another year! lol 😂
If you managed to not purchase anything for just over a year from DD, then I think that more than makes your recent purchase okay! I tend to purchase about twice per year, but only ever one or two kits at a time, so that probably makes us about even. 😆
I agree with the AB pen needing more wax refills. I have found this to be true for virtually any medium you use in a drill pen: wax, putty, glue dot . . . They all require replacing sooner when applying AB drills.
I just received my first Dreamer Design kit. I only had one divider in my tool kit. I have also discovered if you put the squishy on the pen from the top, they go on so much easier, not sure why.
This is a very I interesting review. I just want to say that the pic of the window and the leaves on the original art work, that there are branches and leaves inside the windows. So the rendering is pretty accurate.
I noticed that in editing. It looks like the windows swing open and there is a tree close to the house where some branches hang on the inside of the windows. If that description makes sense. 🤪
I played pokemon Go when it first came out. It was something to do with the kids. They were very little back then! But I am too old to have experienced the first pokemon craze in the 90’s(?), and I didn’t play the Go game very long. (It’s a very, very hard game to play when you live in a rural area.)
Hi Valerie🤗 I like both versions. There is a store here in Belgium that sells some Craft Buddy items, I found some of the Crystal Art Buddies over there but not the Harry Potter ones. Diamond Painting Deutschland (Germany) sells Craft Buddy items too. Ordering in the UK is more expensive for me, not really because of the shipping cost but because of the extra import duties (Brexit). Thank you for the comparison, it's always very interesting!😗
I didn’t realize Diamond Painting Deutschland sold some CB! About a year ago HSN (Home Shopping Network) started to offer some CB, but very limited amounts. Now, it looks like there may be a new licensing agreement that makes it impossible for US people to buy any Disney items from CB. I don’t have confirmation of this, but we definitely cannot access anything Disney on the website anymore. This makes me exceptionally sad. I really, really wanted to try and finish my Disney 100 book. 😔
I'm unsubscriping also. First of all those of us that buy budget friendly are not even familiar with those artists on premium company's. I never go on DAC or the others because paying over $100 for a kit is why out of my view. I really don't care where my images come from!
That is perfectly fine. I do wish, however, you had watched a bit more. I come out in full support of the TEMU kits, but I wanted to begin with what are some of the potential caveats (like AI with mangled hands). For me, personally, I like to try and not purchase stolen art but I don’t blame anyone who does. Rather, I just wanted to show how easy it is for overseas companies to do this. I firmly believe in the necessity and the joy that comes from budget friendly stores.
I'm in the UK and Paintgem kits are £32 and Temu is only £9. So I've recently bought one of the houseplants set from Temu. I haven't done any yet but it looks really good overall. It has 81 colours...81! 😳Lol. The only thing I was disappointed about was that the drills came in strips and not pre-bagged, as advertised.
Wow! That is so many colors! What a bummer they weren’t in bags. The two sets I got have both been in bags, but I think that’s part of what to expect for budget-friendly kits- lack of consistency. It’s not a big deal, but definitely disappointing.
Very pretty paintings🥰 I can see that the quality is amazing!! I have not bought from them yet but I hope I will be able to in the future🤞 Thank you for sharing😘
Hi Valerie....So many cute/beautiful kits...I didn't know of your event, but I will definitely be "in" for next year! 😊🎉 Congrats on having such a successful one!
Hi Valerie👋 Greetings from Belgium🤗 I like all your finishes❤ Thank you for posting my finishes on FB and thank you for hosting this fun event, it was really relaxing, I enjoyed working on all of my 30x30 kits. Congratulations to the lucky winner!!🥳🥇🎉
I just caught your video, and wanted to let you know that if you have a store called "Daiso", they are cheap Japanese imports, they have the tissues for your box. Also, you are right about that insulated cup------cold beverages only!!
Sadly, I live nowhere near a Daiso. I did a search and it looks like the closest store is in New Jersey, 800 miles away. 😢 And thank you for the confirmation on cold beverages!
