I'm getting a fail when I run the konsole script. It says Ice cannot run because of issues with your system. steamos manager cannot be running while ice is being run. I don't have the steam client running but maybe this steamos manager is something running in the background. I dunno. I just added it in the other way which doesn't add the pictures
i dowload forgoten universe, but i cant see console gold letters, only arcades, any help?

I have a pinball cab that I want to use this for is there a way to put Dreamcast games or tecknoparrot games with the screens facing the correct direction during gameplay
This is an old build - check out the Atarashii builds. However, there is no quick and easy way to do what you’re asking. It IS possible using retrofe, but it’s not a simple settings change - you would need to add layouts, emulators, artwork, etc.
For some reason I get really bad performance in the coin ops front end, it takes an age to skip through games, particularly when skipping per letter. The games run fine when I get in though. Also the included embed in steam script didn’t work, I tried both the folder named mentioned here and the one in the readme file.
i'm late and just got my steamdeck and excited to use it primarily for coinops legends 4! thanks for this video it helps make sure i understand the readme correctly. Question: in discord is there a particular channel to check for other steamdeck legends 4 chat? "non atarashii builds" maybe? Also any issues just using steam deck's controls?
Highly suggest you look for Atarashii Forgotten Worlds Max then - as Legends is already outdated. The code advancements in the Atarashii line alone are light years past the Legends series.
Hello, im trying to add the newer version of pcsx2 1.7(runs better on my pc) on legends 2, i resently download it 250 gb so i dont want to download another one, i manage to open pcsx2 via legends 2 but the emulator send an error "game filename "game.gz" do not exits". thanks
The CoinOPS Project will not release any Pinball FX assets, as those systems are still for sale. The artwork may be included in latest releases, but the emulator and tables are not provided. Same with Switch, etc. - only artwork provided. As for Collections on Steam Deck - no, not in the works right now. I am hopeful that development will continue with the newer Atarashii builds for Steam Deck.
Understandable - you hated the game because it wasn't for you. However, it was an incredibly popular game and helped revive the flailiing arcade industry at the time. While quick time event style games (like laser disc) are not for everyone, this game was groundbreaking at the time for many reasons.
Not a good build for a cabinet because cabinet controls are usually digital and Collections has far too many systems and games that require analog controls.
@@The_PixelFreak i finally got the Sega Model 3 games to load after I uninstalled the direct X and visual C ++ stuff, but now I'm running into the problem where the gas and brake controls don't work as well as the steering. Would you know how I can fix that? I'm using an Xbox controller by the way.
I have bit wars 2 and collections running perfect on clean Win 10 install. Legends 4 and Legends 4 max both crash while GUI is loading...any suggestions? Thank you.
Recommendation is to update to Forgotten Worlds Atarashii 2 MAX. Legends builds are no longer supported as there have been hundreds of substantial code updates that fix numerous video and memory leak bugs from the old retrofe code. No joke, CoinOPS now has a completely separate fork of retrofe that screams and uses substantially less resources with updated video support.
The CoinOPS Project does NOT do "full rompacks." There is no need, nor any desire to make handcrafted art for 10,000 ROMS, 2500 of which are mahjongg repeats and others. A large assortment of popular games are covered in these packs/builds, but if you are looking for full romsets, I would steer you to Batocera or Big/Launchbox style builds where scrapers are used. There is a reason why CoinOPS builds are so sleek and beautiful - because they are handcrafted and curated.
Is this the collection pack? I didnt know it has a base pack. I downloaded the arcade collection image. Can you write down the name of the base build so i can download it?
You will want to catch up to the latest builds. You would likely want to update to Atarashii Forgotten UNIVERSE (not Forgotten Worlds). UNIVERSE replaces Next/Next2/Collections line and has already released packs to be added on. Not recommended for cabinets, but for computer setups where Xbox controllers (or compatible) are used.
I think I got a diffrent one cause I dont have most of those options. do you have the link for this one? I have compleat roms already I just need the front end.
Since any links on this thread have had zero results on discord I'm stumped. I have since deleted the discord account and have tried numerous avenues to figure out how to add games to this build. I'm going to download raspbian os to separate SD card to access pi and get my IP address, after that plug in coinops SD card back into pi and run Ethernet from my PC to pi in an attempt to add games that way. Does anyone have an easier way of doing this or is this as good as it gets? I really love this build but want to add some faves that are missing. Any help is appreciated!🤘
Has anyone been able to add more collections to this build? (Id imagine it's nit as simple as copying collections folders (say model 2, Naomi etc etc) from the pc build.
Thank you for your work and sharing this. I'm trying to get a copy from punks but it's massive. Is there a way to get a copy without any roms or videos? I just need to get the frontend all setup for vertical and this is BY FAR the best I've ever seen. My guess is that the whole frontend without any games or videos would be pretty small. Thanks man, all I had to do was listen to your video closely on holding the start button on my arcade and F1 key on keyboard at the same time...now all of my Sega racers are set up and what a treat now! Sometimes for myself less is more with coinops vs 17k games on wolfanoz build. Perfect retro build for my arcade1up, I have all I need on PC with way too many games anyways, no need to cram my arcade when this is so much easier to find games I forget about!🤘
When in menu, use the "start" button to toggle between fave/non-fave. The heart will go gold (outer edge) when included in the Favorites playlist. When in the Favorites playlist, all games will show as heart (filled in with red).
