If you had a Root canal tooth break completely off at gum line with barely any root showing. How would that be extracted? Would your whole gum have to be cut?
my dentist is a f-ing LOSER he took off WAAYYYYYY too much of my teeth and ruined my veneer prep. All my veneers falling off, had to get root canals in all my teeth.. he also made my night guard incorrectly and messed up my jaw. Have to have jaw plate and MORE orthodontics to fix my messed up jaw, have surgery of my gum and bone to fix biological width AND have to get all my veneers taken off and replaced with crowns. Years long process and going to cost over $100k. I went to a "great" dentist in a wealthy area in the US. Anyone watching, be careful who you trust with this process and if they tell you there are no risks, they are lying. Dentists: please inform your patients of the risks and if you're not confident in your skills / don't specialize in cosmetic dentistry, DONT DO IT! thank you for coming to my ted talk
I broke a cheap emax Cerec crown and luckily my RCT was done by and endo. I got a translucent zirconia crown and my dentist said the tooth is sealed and doing well
Why the hell don't you just put fluorescent pigments or dyes in the filling composite in the first place? Then all you would need is a UV light? If it was your teeth wouldn't you rather a doctor just shine a uv flashlight on you rather than melt your teeth with acid.
Fluorescence is complex and adding fluorophores affects the overall luminescence of material, which alters its visible emissions under sunlight and other ambient sources, such as disco lighting. People want invisible fillings, not ones that become distinguishable under varying ambient light conditions. Also, etching teeth with acid is a highly conservative approach to restoring them.
Id like to ask, do you always prepare the tooth till the interdental contact and you dont touch it or is there any case when you take away the contact and prepare the veneer to close on the oral side of the teeth? Thank you for the answer!
In some cases, like diastema, we need to close that space right, so we have to extend our preparation somewhat lingually or palatally, but in cases where there is sufficient proximal contact, we only prepare tooth till the contact area, so we do not break contact in those cases, where already good natural contact present. I suppose this helps you .
Question: so the bad teeth get covered up with plastic teeth? If that’s the case, aren’t the bad teeth rotting away under the plastic? Or do you extract the bad teeth?
The provisional teeth are only on for a short period of time, and then they are replaced with permanent porcelain crowns. I am a dentist, and this is a beautiful case. Doctor George Whitehead D.D.S.
Where do I start, shampoo, hairdresser? Or destroy healthy elements and replacing them for plastic veneers that fall off before you can say cheese. First reaction and you know the saying: first impressions are always wright :)
I was awake for mine but it was the 4 front top teeth from having the root being completely gone due to canines growing inwards. Being awake but numb was scary but felt reassuring when I knew what they were doing. I mean I didn’t know I would be awake but I had to pull through anyway but getting dental work can be much affordable in Mexico than in Colorado but be sure to have the right place in Mexico but I’m now healing to get my dentures, then to get my implants. But will be worth it in the end I guess.
I’ve done my veneers in 2007 and they look amazing until last week the lateral front broke 🥲I went to. Dentist who did the rebondig and today Monday the tooth came out🥲again. Should I use the same dentist is she going to charge me again for onother rebond? Or should I go for a different Dentist? I’ve never experience this and I’m panicking as they are very costly. Please help! London/Uk Regards
