The most important thing he said is DO NOT DECELERATE! I believe he said just accelerate through but if u simply have don't decelerate in your brain your chips, pitches, putts, and full swing will be better. Period.

This could be the best chipping lesson I've seen on RU-vid. The edge leading chip is just a putting stroke. LEE Trevino demonstrates this perfectly. 👏 👏 👏 👏

Greg Norman has shared a lot of useful tips and information over the years, and this is far from the best. There are a lot better tips and instructions by him out there. (Better Golf by Greg Norman and Butch Harmon for example was filled with useful information).

You don't have to agree with Greg Norman, but he clearly states in this video @ 0:41 that it's the greatest golf tip of all time in his opinion. So saying "Far from it" is a bit ridiculous.

What does he mean "the leading edge and the bounce remain constant"...??
@therealgolfsecrets
@therealgolfsecrets 11 дней назад
Phil is teaching a leading edge chip, where the face of the club is hitting the ball first, and the bounce (bottom of the club) is hitting the ground after impact. In a bounce driven chip, the bottom of the club(the bounce) hits the ground first, then bounces into the ball. So Phil wants the leading edge and bounce to remain constant for as long as possible because he wants the club face to catch the ball first. If he were allowing the club head to travel faster than the hands/arms (like you do for a bounce driven chip), then the Leading Edge and degree of bounce would vary depending on how fast the hands released the clubhead before impact... I hope this helps. 🍻
