There were not 2 million reservations. That was from a fan made tracking page anyone could edit. Plus, even most of the actual reservations were not from people planning to buy. Many ibvestirs bought dozen or so reservations trying to pump stock. The weeks following the unveil had Twitter full of fans showing off their multiple reservations. Nevermind all the people who did have intention to buy who cancelled when the truck came in at 50% more expensive but fall less capable than promised. They will be lucky to sell 50k per year after the Tesla stans get theirs.
I was just at the LA Peterson auto museum to look at the Cybetruck and i will say this: Most Picassos are not very attractive to look at it Cybertruck is the Picasso of Automobiles
Cancelled my CT reservations, the fit/finish is a nightmare, repairs will be a nightmare, insurance will be through the roof. People are willingly jumping into money pits and I here to watch the carnage! 😂
my grandfather also made a reservation for the cybertruck. he is not good with technology but he said it is for emergency cases that we might not expect. he is also the guy who has a nuclear bunker on his property. people in the past sure think differently than what we are today. we are too laidback and overconfident that nothing will happen.
An 'emergency' for someone who has a nuke bunker would call for an 'analog' vehicle, you know a pre-80's car/truck.... ....with old round mechanical gauges that show.....nothing, you don't need gauges in an emergency, let alone a laptop with wheels.
I put an order in to replace my wife’s Expedition and she’s been saying “hell no” for two years, but when I showed her the camo wrap, she said “oh what other wraps are available?” So I think it’s growing on her. 😅
@@Gallardo6669 I fully admit I thought it was a joke when I first saw it but when I began to understand the look is more of an outcome of simple engineering and practicality rather than intentional aesthetic styling choices, it has only become more beautiful to me over time.
This is the most iconic car ever. I am not a truck guy at all but I would totally dig that design. Love the fact that it is made out of unpainted stainless steel.
My wife thinks it looks awesome, but I was disappointed by the looks when it was debuted, however I recognize why it looked the way it does and I am ALL for the utilitarian reasons for it. I cant wait to get ours! I have seen some photoshops of it lifted with big tires and its honestly the best route to customize it IMHO. Im more of a low rider kinda guy though, and usually slammed trucks with good rims are a major improvement but this just doesn't have the proportions for it at all.
Hear your wife, she is right, it is ugly. But yes, durable. I would buy one for practical reasons, like no paint , or a 400V pug etc..... . But he'll that think is ugly as hell.
I have truck friends who when asked to help with something are like, "Oh no. This isn't a work truck. It's a show truck. I can't be denting it up." That's why I like the functionality of the cybertruck. It's a show truck and work truck IMHO.
