I can remember a teacher of mine back when I was a sixth former recommending this as one of two acts that I should listen to. I had mentioned that I liked Jethro Tull and he suggested that I give Frank Zappa a go and I think he also mentioned DetektivByrån. He wasn't wrong!
I watched 5 seasons in 3 days and I felt sick inside. It was very painful episode after painful episode every emotion so raw, I was overwhelmed with all the loss in my own life stripped down leaving me naked and no way to hide every brutal scar I've accumulated . It was so painful to feel it all at once.
Everyone talking about the final but to me one of the most precious moments of the last episode was also that it's the first one to not start with someone's death but instead the birth of Nate's Daughter. God, this is definitely one of the best pieces of art I've ever witnessed in my life every episode on itself is a heartbreaking lesson and I absolutely loved every minute of this show.
I love this song, but tragically this is the only place I can listen to it. It’s not streaming on Spotify or Apple Music. I can’t even buy the download. It’s somehow a little more special because of that.
What's magnificent is that Caesars managed to capture the power pop -aspect of the song that's played by a band usually considered hard rock or even heavy metal band. Of course it's their hit single song which makes it a bit more "chart-friendly" than the usual stuff, but still.
Yes. 1st time i saw the ending as a 40yr old i bawled like a baby. 2nd time i watched with my gf, i didnt bawl but the tears still flowed man. Guess it was just ultra powerful ti me.
I don't care what anybody says about Brenda. I recently watched a virtual reunion where Rachel Griffiths said she loved how Alan Ball broke the mold of the unlikeable archetype of women with Brenda. I could feel her uncertainty, fear and loneliness with Nate's passing as she's giving birth to Willa. With this song being the perfect background track, I could not avoid but to end up sobbing.

Loved this show but i may have watch it too young … I’m a very emotionally unstable individual today and I’m not blaming that series but it did stoke the fire I think.
Cant explain how much this shiw meant to me when i first saw it. I just watched the Sopranos with my brother and father and then I suggested we watch Six Feet Under together next. We did and it blew my Father and Bother away. We were all Bawling by the End.
