Hamsters get their name from the German word hamstern, it means to hoard. In Syria where they are from, after harvesting grains, will hunt for hamster burrows. They will remove up to 30 pounds of grain from the nest.
Yes she was really showing off after a long time because of too much clouds here in Edmonton during the last month. So glad to finally experience her again. ❤

Thank you so much! I’m glad you love the village. It is my way of expressing how I love the season so much. The memory it brings while making it and the joy and smile on the faces that it gives to those who can see it! Cheers to you and a happy holidays! 🎄🥰😇
Wow, really amazing.. it would have been great if you made a step by step video of how you made it..really wonderful.. It is just so amazingly beautiful..
I have another video about this village: The making video and it will show you some of the process i did from start to the end. Not totally all but some glimpse of ideas on how to build a Christmas Village. Thank you so much for commenting. Highly appreciated. ☃️❄️😍😇🎄
This is INSANE! I can't even imagine building something this intricate, but now I REALLY want to lol. If this was in a store window people would look at it for hours. It's exactly how I always thought that Toy Store window displays should look when i was a kid. But now that I know how much work it would be, I understand why I've never seen something like this before 😊❤
Thank you so much for taking your time writing this kind of wonderful comment. You exactly gave the words on how a expectator or a watcher when done watching the video or someone who watches the scene on a glass window in a toy store or a mall. The amount of sacrifice and patience done in this project was done out of love for Christmas. Since its my first ever Christmas village, and maybe the last to build, for i don’t how to start all over again, I don’t have the time again to do it. I had a wish to do it even just once in my lifetime, I can build something like this. Even me I glanced into it every now and then. When people praise the work done into it, it feels great and wanting me to do another one in the near future. Thank you so much! God bless you! 😇🎄
Wish I could show this to her in person. I would be very happy to see her smile and feeling of awe when she sees the whole thing. Thank you so much for the comment, greatly appreciated. cheeers!
@@artisticdad When she was first diagnosed with autism, we realized that she loved anything that lit up and had motion and music. So we brought her to a 40,000sqft Christmas decor store that opens every year and she went bonkers. Since then we put our decor up the first week of November since she loves it so much
Love your village, thanks for posting the how to video, I had a question, when you Benites the mountains? How did you shape them? The look like the h there popping out or 3D? Did you put anything behind the paper ?
I cut a mountain shape out of cardboard that I desire. I glued some newspaper on the cardboard. Then I just crumpled the paper and glued them on top of the newspaper until it looks like a 3D mountain. I bet you, this is the easiest way to make a mountain. Not messy and no need to color them.
@@artisticdad thank you for the tips! Do you have an Instagram of your village? I do a Peanuts themed Christmas village every year, my mountains are always plain white so I would like to try your technique.
