Nice video but all the way during this explanation the ac was off in the video. My question is how to turn ac on for example if I want to refill the ac refrigerant?
I am wanting to put a backup camera in my 2014 volt. Would I need any software to flash that setting into my head unit? My volt doesnt have any camera settings in the display section.
I wish the Video showed exactly what procedure GM is doing to correct this. I heard that GM is simply breaking the Switchblade type of Keyfob they gave you. Taking the Key out of it and putting the Key in a holder by itself. Does anyone know if this is true. I have yet to bring my car back to GM to this day 10 years after and I have never had a problem. My right knee doesn't even come close to the key in the ignition. I am not a 7' tall basketball player.
This is exactly what they do and replace with a cheap key that looks like the ones that come in the mail taped to flyers for sweepstakes. So disappointed in GM!
Well 265 and still going. 01 malibu. Afraid to take it in cuz ill end up w a new car. Dont trust anyine to work on my car. And im not worried bout. I like being able to warm my car up with the key in my pocket. That way i dont lock myself out
Rapid charging is damaging batteries, by degrading them prematurely, so I’m happy with the slower charge, plus I would never drive electric ⚡️ on motorways as it’s not as efficient as Gas, hence why the Chevy volt, makes so much sense. Electric ⚡️ around town and fuel efficient motorway driving
Well, the engine is only a generator to supply the electric motor that drives the vehicle with power. The engine in these cars doesn't drive the wheels at all, they're electric powered all the time, it's just a matter of getting the power from an outlet or the cars engine.
Long charge times don't bother me any. I let it charge while I'm at work and when it's parked in the garage. I can even charge it when I'm shopping or at mc Donald's. 2017 Volt 🤘
I have a 2013 Volt. Now it only has a 29 - 42 mile range after a full charge. It that normal? Also I was wondering does the gas engine power a generator to power the electric motor.? The change over is so smooth.
Trainwreck 101 Yes, the gasoline engine powers a generator, to provide power to the drive motor. The car always runs on electric, either from the battery, from the engine (through the generator), or a combination of the two. How much range from a charge did it have before? You may want to ask the dealer service dept. I've heard of prius and leaf cars suffering from that, but not a Volt. You may have a battery issue.
I own a 2004 monte carlo. .. I will NEVER buy another ever again! Leaky upper intake manifold (plastic). leaky front valve cover (plastic). Stupid key and lock cylinder design(Their fix was a dumb plastic spacer on my keys) . Fucked up ass security system that locks me out once a week! Fuck GM!!! Especially Chevrolet! !! My next car will be a ford.
