Hi, Could you tell me the type of tyres is it ? May be Karoo 3 Metzeler ? And the size ? Is it 110/80 R 19 for the front and 140/80 R 17 for the rear ? Thanks
Yes, as long as they have a homologation they are allowed on the roads, otherwise two stroke dirt bikes without homologation are allowed on racetracks.
It's a test where you suddenly have to steer around an imaginary elk (moose) that runs on the road, like a fast chicane. So left-right-left. That gives a big roll effect on the car body. I should know, I overturned an ATV that way...
Had this bike for couple months and covered couple thousand miles and sold it. Do not recomend. Very snatchy, jerky natured engine not friendly for daly use. Clunky gearbox, wooden brakes (do not deserve Brembo name) and poor suspention. Do not hate BMW before anyone accuse me just saying for those who plan on buying it.
@Vstm I have looked at 10s of video reviews, and all of them state that the ride if very smooth on the bike and it is not jerky at all. I genuinely think your bike had problems with it.
@@eymanyouwell thanks for sharing. Or maybe this is down to perception of the user. Mine had only 4500km odo when i bought it second hand so it was practucally new
@@vstm3950 It's not the perception of the user- as I said, I watched a huge variety of reviews and pretty much all of them said similar things. Unless your point is a singular perception that is. Also new bikes can have problems from factory/even with super low kms.
I noticed that there's another bike along for the ride, and if I'm not wrong is the previous version of the xt1200. My question is which mirror provides better coverage and overall which mirror is better
Hi Smutpow, It isn't the previous XT1200, but the current XT660 Ténéré. I must say it's about five month ago that I rode the big Ténéré bike, so I'm a bit hazy on the details now. Can't remember having any complaints about the mirrors, though, quite unlike the Honda Vultus I rode last week, along with, again, the XT660. I quite like the conventional round mirrors like I have my own KTM 990 Adventure. Most important is that the stems are long enough to look around your shoulders. The mirrors on the Vultus are allright if you just want to check your gloves, but not to monitor traffic. I can't understand why that's allowed...
Haha the music. Not sure the bike deserves hillbilly music. Hads a test drive on the ABS version. Ideal if you are looking to your first big bike and on a budget but also an ideal daily commuter around town. Not sure about the negative comment that experienced riders may want better brakes. The model I tried was superb in braking and if anything I would say probably more important to less experienced riders
Finally Honda did the right thing. Offer a medium motorbike combined with a just price. At the end of 80's I bought a honda 450DX. That was a good motorbike. Maybe i gonna have this again. I think that's a good engine.
Indeed, the metric system is much more advanced in terms of calculating and converting. But please do note that km/h is not a unit of the SI (or metric) system.
Funny how everyone is wondering about whether the speedometer is displaying mph or kmph when the speedometer itself clearly displays km/h right there after the reading. Also, km/h is not a unit of the SI (or metric) system. It's m/s.
Congratulations beautiful bike, so i prefer ANALOG TACH than DIGITAL TACH, but the fashion is digital CLUSTERS like DUCATIS, MV AGUSTA, MOTO GP, the first japanese superbike with DIGITAL CLUSTER was KAWASAKI NINJA ZX-10 2011 with 200 h.p VERY FAST BIKE...
you thing as much as this motorcycle costs that BMW could put a pair of good inverted forks on the bike & aluminum swing arm right? BMW rip off ! look for a different brand.
GPS corrected? Because everything I've seen says 105mph, too. Including videos here. It's plausible, but I'm wondering if the gearing is really that tall (it is a 'learner bike' after all.)
F650GS is not too big/high. I'm exactly same 1.63 and I had before F650GS. I had a normal suspension, but lower seat. So the seat hight with lower seat was 790mm. For F650GS is also available lower suspension and then it´s about same 750mm like G650GS. I have never ridden G650GS, so I can´t compare the bikes.
