On the basis of free thought the purpose of Rudolf Steiner's Philosophy Of Freedom is to lay the foundation of ethical individualism and of a social and political life.
This is an unethical distortion of Steiner's teachings. These statements are taken out of context and thus create a false narrative. The meaning that is produced by what is being said here is NOT AT ALL what Steiner said in its whole form. Steiner was very clear about this. Many may well have produced various religions that represent in whole or in part a projection of his own psyche, nevertheless Seiner also clearly identifies the spiritual impulses from deity as very real. Steiner praised and encouraged devotion to God saying that it is a very good thing.
@@scienceoffreedom YES, but surely it is possiboe to avoid wilfuly creating a false narrative using distortion of what Steiner said. Yu have quoted him in a very unhelpful way
Rudolf Steiner was a con artist. He promoted endless amounts of esoteric nonsense. One of his ideas was that people were reincarnated upwards through a racial hierarchy if they lived good lives. His agricultural ideas include collecting cosmic energy by burying a cow's horn stuffed with pigs' manure for the winter making a distillation the next summer and spreading it over your fields. Little green men making the plants grow by pushing them up from under the ground. A good example of prepackaged false information. Fantastic!
I found Gigi Young’s RU-vid who studies Steiner’s work. Absolutely phenomenal teacher. I was able to understand the Bible and most importantly Jesus Christ. The truth, the way the life. It all made sense, it healed many traumas, and brought peace and purpose to this life.
Steiner pledged he would return during the 20th and 21st centuries. He said he would return as a woman. The best way to begin to study Steiner's work is his writing about Goethe because that was when Striner formulated his fundamental philosophy and metaphysics.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g8RcMlXa6VY.html From the moment we improved the ways to kill each other, Bronze age weapons, we have gifted our history with 5,000 years of war. For the 20.000 years prior to this, we basically lived in peace under the female Goddesses. Man should let women rule, or at least remember that men put women and children above themselves. Screw equality laws that would make me lower my God like standard.
True. It all worked before foolish supernatural thinking soured the soup. That is why the Bible is so clear against idol worship and naming God un-knowable, unfathomable and a mystery. As a mystery, people loved Christianity. As idol worship, only the ill advised will do.
"moral intuitions don't derive from social norms but our own character and moral reflection", but isn't our own character heavily influenced by social norms and culture?
If man had, or ever could have "free will" in this life, there would be no such thing as cravings, no going to the bathroom, and we could go back in time. Anything we do because "we have to," or out of forced self-effort ("willpower", "self-discipline") is slave-will. Instead, everything that we do would be out of "we get to," and YET our fists never approach anybody else's nose. True "free will" is never influenced by any prior cause (a leads to b, which leads to c), or unconscious thinking. Only God has true free will, for he "does ALL his GOOD pleasure." (emphasis mine) And the only way man can have free will as well, is when man's will and God's will meld into one will and stay that way, like two drops of water suddenly cleaving together.
Wow, this video on constructing an ontology of the philosophy of freedom is absolutely fascinating! I've always been intrigued by the concept of freedom and this video explained it so clearly. The information presented was insightful and made me want to dive even deeper into this topic. Thank you for sharing this valuable resource with us, I'll definitely be checking out the website and joining the discussion!
I have been studying the work of Rudolf Steiner all my life. Between his published books and lectures yet to be published, I believe I have read more than 300 of his works, including all those concerning anthroposophical medicine. Although I differ in some aspects of his thought, for me, as I express in my book (and it is just a personal opinion), Rudolf Steiner is the greatest genius that has ever existed and there will never be anyone like him, neither intellectually nor as a human being. When he was asked which of his books would remain for posterity, he answered, without a doubt, that "The Philosophy of Freedom." Thanks for such an illustrative video.

Pinning JP to RS has given me a very bad taste in my mouth RE: RS. JP is widely viewed as a hack and an alarmist conservative provocateur. Is that what I am to think of RS?
They said worse about Rudolf Steiner. He basically abandoned The Philosophy Of Freedom for fear of arrest. The Philosophy Of Freedom endorses no man, leader or guru.
The World has the Best Pedagogical Genius -as Rodolf Steiner - to Go The New World of -All …… Dr . Speaks Thinks and Feels …… Need New Educational Start for the Next Level of -“Thinking “………🌞
Seems like humanity has forgotten thyself.. Too many souls are just in a copy & paste with their own little flavor intake.. Everything is within the self, allowing the Innerstanding illuminate the overstanding, raise the consciousness out of the understanding state of mindless thinking & trying to find thyself externally because your staring at your own reflections..
I am an Anthroposophist and a Waldorf educator, not that should be the reason one should listen to me, and I find this video to be highly problematic. First of all, I do not believe Waldorf to be inconsistent with anti-racism or social justice. Indeed, as the author states, the emphasis on freedom is the very reason why social justice has a place within the Waldorf framework. However, finding freedom is only possible when you know the cage you are in. Anti-racism clearly exposes that cage, those places where we are taught to divide ourselves from others, where we are taught some human beings are worth more than others. While Rudolf Steiner's teachings are essential to creating a Waldorf education, he should not be viewed as some infallible leader, and the places where he exhibited extremely racist ideology needs to be examined. Don't sit and turn to Steiner to back you up when he was clearly and often using extreme racism to back up his claims: epublications.marquette.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1078&context=hist_fac. Also, the author doesn't like Waldorf schools turning to Ibram X. Kendi, someone who is working on ending racism, but he's fine using the teachings of conspiracy peddling, homophobic James Lindsay? www.currentaffairs.org/2022/12/james-lindsays-race-marxism-is-ignorant-about-both-race-and-marxism Lastly, stop using Dr. King's "content of character" quote. It is one of the tamest things he ever said and it makes you sound like you have never read or heard any other comment he ever made, like, "The Triple Evils of POVERTY, RACISM and MILITARISM are forms of violence that exist in a vicious cycle. They are interrelated, all-inclusive, and stand as barriers to our living in the Beloved Community."
Here is an example of the Rudolf Steiner Audio Press Archive on RU-vid. I found this one immediately below this audio on my own RU-vid feed. Facing Karma By Rudolf Steiner ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W9I4acZQWIk.htmlsi=5UzfV4OnKaYtoh41
There is a Steiner Audio Archive on RU-vid with a very large archive of Rudolf Steiner’s over 5,000 public lectures Just search RU-vid for Rudolf Steiner Audio Archive and listen on your device. I am planting a forest and have the Archive contents playing on my phone as I work with the trees and seedlings out doors often for eight hours a day. Reading a book requires one to only do that whereas the Audio doesn’t interfere with our activities. Better to listen to Steiner than have random thoughts coursing through our mind as we do other things.
