Nice job! Killing it out there. Just heads up, looks like your running in "EXPERT" mode which doesn't disable stability and traction control completely. It's an intermediate mode where some aids are still present. If you're in "Sport" mode and hold down the TCS button for a few seconds the dash warning symbols will appear but you wont see "EXPERT" this completely disables all electronic aids. I've found the car to rotate more easily on the track with the nanny's fully disabled, it's not snappy at all, but I don't have any experience on loose surface.
How long do you hold it down for? That is how you disable all Advanced Track in the Mustangs. I tried it with the GR and it didn't do anything for me. I did out of gear, clutch and brake in while doing it. Could that be why it didn't take?
@@JDubRacing I just tried it in mine. Held down for maybe 3-4 seconds and the "EXPERT" light goes out but the other warning lights stay on. Has to be in sport mode first. I don't think anything with the brakes matters.
In the same way auto cross can set you up for road course. It's understanding how the car moves in different terrain. It helps you understand how to predict the cars movements. My first time in the dirt I tried to run turns like a regular entry. I was braking late and then trying to use power to rotate. I was understeering every time. I then learned, oh - I need use the brakes to steer. It's laying the ground work and then using my experience from this, drift, and road course to enter traditional rally. Great question!
OOF. I got a core with the LSD's and extended warranty. I'm under 43k. But the car is sick and 150k warranty on a 3 cylinder running 24psi boost. Insane. If you love driving. Worth buying. (EDIT: My Alaskan Malamute loves the car; but severely impacts performance.)
NC/SC are high 60s low 70s because they are built at the RTR Lab. Dealers don’t have to pay for shipping or additional labor for internal installation.
I equally appreciate the RTR and the GR Corolla. In fact, they supplement each other when you go for pure thrills. From a gravel special stage, to drifting, to track. Having fun. By the way, did you start modifying the Toyota?
Hands down my favorite car for 2024. The driving and handling after the Spec 2 install is confidence inspiring. It does what you want it to do. I see a spec 2 in my future.
My fiesta ST has a 1.6 liter and will go up to 400 wheel before it gets sketchy. I’m curious to know what the limit of the GRC is with the AWD setup. Seems like A LOT of stress on the engine. Fiesta ST only weights 2700 lbs so it won’t have to pull so much weight. Been considering the GRC but not sure how much PSI is left before something goes kaboom💥 !
I paid $50k OTD minus taxes here in CT. Had a $10k markup (23 CE) but I negotiated 5k off that. I’m happy with it after 9 months and the resale is nearly still what I paid for it.
Good to see an owner's POV who could have bought (apparently) any other fast car on the market & chose the GR C. I have the choice as well - which fast car to drive (after having recently owned a few 911s) I chose to wait (after being offered a few Core editions) for a 2024 Blue Circuit that I am getting in a month. 👍
I was there the day before you in all that rain. Several of us new GR owners were irritated we didn't get a in car instructor. We were told they only have that Saturdays, toyota just didn't make it clear. Out of all the cars there I only took good pictures of that little yaris. It has a blitz compressor under the hood. Probably still only 98hp.
Yup he has a manual.. That's what I figured.. I have one too, and I always end up with PPL on my ass... These cars are magnets for car collisions.. Everytime I am on a hill, I end up with some jerk "who's never really shifted a gear in their life" right on my Butt...
awesome man get out there! just a tip, but you want to keep your hands in a consistent manner esp when drifting or rallying. having one hand that does most of the motion and one to keep it stable helps keep the movement predictable + also try to reset after each major movement.
I'm really sorry to hear this man. I just got a 2023 Mustang GT and the first thing I did was install a dashcam (including a rear facing camera) and I've been trying my hardest to prevent anyone from hitting my car. I hope everything works out for you.
@@JDubRacing I am going to try and find a rear and front camera too.. There are people out there who hate on these cars and other nice cars too.. Since buying my GT I am all about getting camera's for my home too..
just one critique. i wish i could see more from inside the car out the front windshield is constantly glaring .Aside from that dope video and dope driving.
My camera phone would have been hot from so many pictures of the girls, girl's car, license plate, driver's license, insurance card, screen caps (like you said you had)
