The losing streaks due to piss poor match making is the worst. Too many games with Massive experience differentials is what causes blowouts. My player rating is a solid green. It really sucks when you get stuck on a losing streak and when you check game stats after you see you are the highest rated player on your team and the other team has three purple players. Imbalance much? What sucks more is when you get 15-20 games like this that last 3-4 minutes and you just stomped with zero chance of changing the outcome. This game has just become too frustrating at this point. The blatant monetization strategy of P2W game mechanics, crappy matchmaking and ridiculously overpowered reward tanks dominating tech tree tanks has just ruined the game IMO. Moving on to something I can enjoy playing. You know the way WOT used to be.
I am not an arty player, but arty must stay. It is a holding force to certain extent. On another hand you can rarely see more than 1-2 artys nowadays. Basically it means that there are 13-14 players on the other side in sight. And if arty delivers to you only - probably you are doing something wrong. Dmg dealt by arty is not that high, taking into account their reload time. Years ago arty could one-shot is7, nowadays it barely scratches
15-1 in 4 minutes.. Wwaayy too common. Players have been complaining to WG for years about this, told 'em its our main concern, so I'm sure they'll fix it.
Lol, uthe main reason, is primium tanks are broken, Rebalancing the game is the main cause, Some primium tier 5/7/8 and now 9, are breaking the game, too OP, and new and old players strugles to fight them, Bz, skoda, e25, and more, is breaking games, even some are better, or equal to tier 10, Kajzoo is right, u just live in the dream world...
Most of EU players are 35+ years old living conservative lives, and most of them hate any kind of colorful/childish skins. Just watch how many dislike have the video when they announced TMNT BP.
Spot on analysis. I played since 2013 till ~2019, then quit because of all the frustrations, esp around matchmaking and an abundance of bot-like players (43%-win rate! How is it possible unless you aim to ruin the game for others?). Oh, and XVM! People complaining at the start of a game, saying "lose again!", because they have that stupid XVM installed, showing them their win chance and what not. So I quit then but decided to try it out again this year. Purchased a couple of new premium tanks, completed the battle pass. And, two months later, despite me liking the new premiums and battle pass rewards, I'm on the verge of quitting again. Because the same issues remain. Fair enough that I am not succeeding, as I'm pretty average and also now nearly 50, so my reflexes leave much to be desired. But when even I see in every game the players who have no clue, act like bots, or maybe even run bots, ruining the game for me, I want to quit. Again, I'm OK with losing more games because of my lack of skill or worse reflexes, but I'm still good enough to get my 54% win rate, if my team wants to play for good result. And with many of people just wishing to grind through tech tree with as little work put in as possible, or lazily farm credits by sitting at the red line sniping with a tier 8 Heavy, this desire for a good game (even when it's a loss) is almost never satisfied.

I disagree with the part where you say the game is not going anytime soon, because there have been games that shut down due to developers deciding to stop support, not due to financial reasons.

tbh it dosen't matter what equipment you have the skill does for example if you have the best equipment and you suck then you will still suck but with better equipment.
So BurningPeaks's fix for WOT is 1) start doing +1 only or -1 only match making, 2) making premium ammo do less damage and 3) F2P players in tech tree tanks can't earn enough silver to compete with others in the game, and 4) Artillery shouldn't exist as it destroys newer players confidence in the game. Extra: they could enable AI bots at lower levels for newer/lower skilled players to get their confidence back
I dont think arty shouldnt exist as someone whose played for (checks account) *14 years fuk im old*. Its always been part of it and always been kind of, annoying but a meme. The only tiers arty ruins game are specific arties at lower tiers. Mainly LEF, Hummel, Bishop and FV304. And even from those pretty much LEF is the only stupid broken one because 400m view range. Also unlike other OP tanks its really common, whereas stuff like PZ II J is really rare to see still (and almost getting powercreeped lol). FCMpak40 is also like, some maps OP but counterable and super rare. TLDR Arty fine it literally LEF that ruins everything.

8:14 WoT has historically been an older player base always has been. Even the TMNT designs picked are aimed at the older player base given they are designs from 80's/90's. This goes to show that no it is not for a younger audience. My complaint about the TMNT tie in is that it is head scratching, makes very little sense outside of older player base. I would normally just go okay not interested and given it no more thought but it is coming on back to back IP crossover, Dune, Holiday Op, Dune again, TMNT, Star Trek. I can forgive Holiday Op celeb tie in but the rest have little to do with the game's content. Long story shot too many crossovers, spread them around a bit.
@BurningPeak132 My point still stands. TMNT event was not to draw in younger players it was to hit older players, thier actual player base, with nostalgia. If it was to target younger audiences they would have used designs from more recent interations.
@@madogthefirst I'm only 21 and Ive seen quite a bit of teenage mutant ninja turtles and it was also featured in World of Tanks Blitz which has a much younger demographic, Personally I don't mind the crossovers, but WG needs to focus on balancing the game over events that don't bring anything to the game.

I agree +2/-2 is one of the worst things, thats why everyone says Tier 9 is the best, but the problem there is T9+10 players tend to have a higher skill level so you can still end up worse off, so making it +1/-1 would be a great improvement at all levels.
+2-2 matchmaking isnt as horrible on world of warships because you can damage ships 2 teirs higher substancially with torpedos or aircraft even high caliber guns world of tanks for example a teir 5 cannot even damage a teir 7 even with he and artillery is the only way a teir 5 can fight a teir 7 wows a teir 5 can use torpedos or aircraft to damage ter 7s and he is broken there
I have a stock Caernarvon and WOT keeps putting me in Tier 10 battles, like 80-90% of the time. The tank is good. I'm not. I just want to play tier 8 and get the tank (and myself) better before playing the top players. This is really frustrating because I wanted badly to get to this tank, only to be screwed once I got it.
removing artillery and nerfing some of the most op tanks and making more op tanks free(which will actually balance the game more) would bring more ppl while these problems damage the playerbase they arent enough to kill a game that has had a 14/15 years of built up nostalgia and memorys that aspect i just said keeps at least a 3rd of them
im one of those historic guys but ppl would put their own camos on their tanks which looked stupid sometimes so techinically fun/stupid camos are technically historical
I stopped playing randoms a few years ago only because of the arty mechanic. I only play Onslaught, Frontline, Mirny and other game modes that don't have some A hole camping near the cap and pretending that they are the one's making the game better by out camping campers WTF kind of logic is that??? And how am I camping when I'm pushing heavy line or sniping support with my TD or holding a flank with my med while constantly being nuked by arty over and over again? So I made a very easy choice to have a frustrating free good time by playing a great tank game with tank battles that rely on my aiming, driving, and map awareness skills. And I also just started playing Blitz and I jump into WoT when the game modes that I want to play are available. I absolutely agree with everything you said in this vid bro.
bro mentioned the war and didnt even mention the fact that russian server numbers would be down too, since the majority of WoT players are military age males, meaning the game actually did in fact lose players, we proabably wont be getting back, 💀
the problem with the game not growing is that wot has a very niche playstyle and required specific thought process to perform well in it. Once a player understand it they will find the game enjoyable no matter the tank they play. But only a very small amount of player actually know how to play properly, most people including some that have played the game for years have no idea at all. The game don't even teach new players correctly in the tutorial. I invited a friend of mine who never heard of wot to tried the tutorial trainning, then move on to topography. He couldn't learn anything useful by himself. Those things just suck at teaching new players
I'm sorry but you live in LALA land. We can't get enough players for clan wars. There are far fewer clans participating. While you may enjoying your WOT experience, most of us aren't anymore. And the rewards we get suck.

WoT, especially the PC pop, has always leaned toward the history tank nerds. Big surprise they want to see more historical elements. That is why most of the shit from Blitz and Console doesn't fly here.
If a game has been mostly historical for 14 years of existence and you randomly turn it into a fortnite bright colour advert for cartoons, celebs and products its pretty jarring for the playerbase. Lets add telitubbies to escape from tarkov im sure no players would be annoyed! Its just fun! [as one off tbh they'd probably love but if it started being non stop skins you see the issue]
About Russian invasion and playerbase on ru server - you gotta remember that wg also allowed ru server players to transfer their accounts to eu server, hence addition of eu3 and eu4
I’m in my 40’s and totally love the camos. I am interested in history and that’s why I enjoy WOT but also enjoy what they add to it. I grew up to ninja turtles and loved the cartoon. So was excited to see those camos.
I Agree with you regarding MM and i could also add that fragments existing is also bad for the game because although they make it easier to progress through tiers some new players reach higher tiers without having a clue on how that tank playstyle is and that is resulting in having unreliable higher tiers …
18:50 hard disagree on that approach, you can't keep hoping that new audience will always be there to try your game out, if a game like this has a reputation of new players quitting after a month, no one would want to check it out especially considering this isn't the type of game that you can learn in a month, let alone achieve anything in a month, a new player will be lucky to get to tier 7-8 in a month, because they will get jack shit XP since they'll be having bad results what they need to do, is maintain their existing audience (not have them fade away, that's really stupid) while also improving the new player experience, there's no point in making a hard focus on a group of ADHD flavor of the month playerbase that will quit anyway, so why would they need the audience that has been there from the start to fade away??? they are most likely the ones who have been spending money on the game what hopes would they have for a new audience, if they can't even keep the ones who have been playing for years?
Doing this would kill the game like flat out....you need to make your game gain players as well maintain the ones you have. Saying WG shouldn't focus on getting new players is just a bad take. WG could easily fix the issues with the game appeasing the current audience while also making it more user friendly, The game honestly doesn't have that much hate apart from the top players.

The F2P style of world of tanks makes it actually sustainable I think it is one of the best ways to run a company people pay 15$ a month to play world of Warcraft and $40 and stuff to buy credits with the subscription token things and to change their characters race nation side etc and to level up new characters to level 100. Everything free is for bums.
Chromehounds died because it was like $50 and the pvp mode had a whole bunch of stuff and they couldn’t afford to keep the company going to support the game. I wonder why 😐
