When you have a govt contract clearing land that has UXO "un exploded ordinance". The government requires this technology, of your machine gets damaged or destroyed it states in the contract that the govt will replace and or repair your equipment.
Mostly potentially dangerous areas for an operator e.g. Clearing a fire break, demolition works, cleaning out area where fumes could be an issue, ship trimming etc. Also, should someone have any health/ accessibility issues that prevents them for accessing the cab, this allow them to work the machine
It has worked for 1 year and several months in heavy muddy conditions without any problem, except that I dipped the horn in water and nothing else malfunctioned.
I'm like alot of others.. I'd say he's got enough skill and experience dealing/operating the bobcat where he can do that with confidence... but just one slip-up could possibly get him hurt badly, or even killed at the same time!... And you know for a fact that "OSHA" Would Definitely Say that is a "DO NOT DO OPERATING PROCEDURE!!".. i would say.. I could be wrong?.. ON THE OTHER HAND.. are (2) Single Ramps really That much safer?.. say, If they're not wide enough, The operator could run off of one,or maybe they could slip off to the side and out from under the bobcat while loading/ unloading,if they're not secured together to each other as well as,chained down, secured,mounted to the truck bed good and strong enough,Or even if they're not strong enough to hold The weight of the machine, and the operator both.. whatever it be?,,they could buckle from the Weight of the machine, SO.. I don't know what the right answer really is,I'm no expert or professional. I remember locally around me when I was a kid,there was a guy..his family owned/owns a lumber company and he built a brand new house and he was outside around his brand new house using a bobcat ... and for whatever reason he had the bucket up in the air,either empty,with a load of dirt, rock,etc. however it was?.. i'm Not 100% sure on that anymore.. but he got out with the bucket up in the air,from what I've heard people say that know about it,and if I remember right he was over there by himself,and it's In a kinda wooded area,right beside of a country road,but not easily seen from the road,and he didn't have anybody else around with him,and something happened ( maybe a bad,or leaking hydraulic cylinder, or i don't know if you could accidentally hit,or operate the down lever in any way if you're not sitting in the bobcat's seat??? .. on the older model's Way back then,like I say that was probably 40+ years ago or better) But The Bucket came down and the arms i understand,squeezed and pinched him in between them and the bobcat.. And naturally he died,and later on when he didn't show up at home somebody went looking for him and found him dead!!... so just like with any machinery.. use common sense.. especially when around dangerous machinery!!
You take the cake brother! That was impressive! If it would have taken much longer I may of been concerned about it starving for oil. But you did that super quick! Clean all the way too! Didn’t bang into anything or hurt the Bob cat either! You da man🫡
