Jules Verne, Robert Louis Stevenson, Alexander Dumas, George Orwell, Ayn Rand, Leo Tolstoy, Charles Dickens...the great authors of our forfathers. They live in this. The greats have not come and gone, they've simply changed mediums. Where words are not enough, only music and memory can grasp the moment, however briefly, breathing it to life once more. Well done @ZenithCipher
No matter how much the lone sax plays, I can hear the rest of the ensemble between the notes like the echo of the reverb. I can feel the memory of a better time; A flashback to peace. When you go back, the game still runs, but you fight on a battlefield long since forgotten. It's been fifteen years since 2009, fourteen since Halo 3 came to its true end when we went to Reach. Thirteen years since Bungie left us. We were alone on those streets, but with friends at our sides. Now, it's just an empty place in our hearts. The rain has stopped and nostalgia becomes meloncholic. With love, Someone who played on these streets with you all those years ago, just in a different room.
I haven’t been at peace… it’s been so many years and my soul hasn’t truly left halo 3. Its memories are like rivers continuously flowing through my mind. There’s peace and joy and most treasures outside the river to the forest but I can’t leave my home. My memories are all I have left of what I consider my happiest I’ve been.
@@mrpiratefox4497 You feel like it’s evolving? You think Infinite was an improvement over previous titles? Then I’m glad there’s a target audience willing to pay for mediocrity. Maybe then the franchise won’t die entirely.
@@Soliye. it objectively is, the only things that weren't an improvement were the ones that were made just to make nostalgic shitheads like you happy. 343 shouls just tell your kind of people to fuck off
@@mrpiratefox4497 Evolution usually implies the addition of beneficial traits to continue the survival of a species in a competitive environment. Once a creature has found it's niche, they tend to evolve less. Such as crocodiles. Halo, could have been a crocodile. A game with a distinct, core identity and way it felt when you play it. A story with a consistent tone, a relaxed multiplayer scene. What we got was someone trying to evolve a crocodile to give it feathers, strip away it's muscle mass, and still expect it to swim and bite good. THAT, is how any franchise dies. by failing to maintain a core identity, core themes. it becomes a hollow carcass, finally abandoned by long term fans and the mythical wider audience devs crave so much which came, took their pound of flesh, and left from whence they came. Infinite is only, an improvement when compared to 343's other games. it has taken them HALF A DECADE, to get infinite to the place it should have been at launch. They squandered their chance to re-vitalize the franchise. Now all that's left. Is dust and echoes of what once was.
@@Destroyer_V0 except Halo isnt a crocodile and it doesnt even have a niche. Halo was just a slowed down version of Quake/arena shooters made to be playable on controllers, back in 2001. Its been 23 years from that, people have already adapted to playing shooters on controller, it lacked basic FPS features for half of that, its not even evolving, its literally trying to catch up to "modern" standards that were set years ago. In any case, Halo is not a crocodile, but a panda, unable to adapt to the modern environment because external factors haven't let it evolve how it was supposed to. TLDR, take off those shit ass nostalgia googles and let Halo adapt as many new things as it wants. Want something old?? Boot up your xbox 360, stay there, and dont bother looking for old stuff in new things
Yeah I kinda regret it now, but to be fair I had made this while I was very tired and couldn't be bothered to find a good image from Halo 3 ODST at the time lmao
Yeah, and it's a good encounter overall I feel like. Hopefully once I get past the rest of the encounters I'll upload a version with and without comms (assuming I manage to get my teammates voices on recording next time lmao)
They're nice, but they won't ever beat the Titanfall 1 where you just suddenly get your camera jerked 180° and look at your killer. I use to saw "Look at me B*tch" each time I did it 😂
