this got on my homepage bro! A way you could make videos more engaging is by making them more cinematic. For example, your marathon training video, its a great idea and you could easily add more of a build up and show the link to self improvement, ect. Someone who does this to an ETREME level is "Gawx Art" all his videos have creative shots and a greater meaning whether its an actual short film or a Q and A. I think this style would suit you as you said you love to create movies (maybe start a bit simpler than what he does though lol)
My advice would be to pick a topic to create content around. When I go to your page there are so many different topics and styles of videos it doesn’t give me a clear idea of what your channel is about and WHY I would/should subscribe. Your channel art says “You are the author of your own story.” - Are you a storyteller? Are you sharing other’s stories? - If it were me that is where I would start. Work on the storytelling aspect of your message but make it around topics that a.) people are searching for b.) trends that are happening c.) and the you can tie it all back into your “own story/life”. Some advice for your thumbnail, definitely try to get away from AI generated ones. I can see that you've edited it a bit, but there are still some noticable artifacts. Most RU-vidrs I watch are just using their actual face in the thumbnail.
Thanks for this feedback, as I address in the video thumbnails are my biggest area for improvement. Perhaps using AI to generate ideas that I can then photoshop myself. Really appreciate it Bryan!
Same here just saw you on my home page! Some advice from me (or rather from my professor in college) is to cut out all the unnecessary bits. I'd say look at how movies are edited and apply that to RU-vid. Text and stuff the viewer is supposed to read should only stay on screen for how fast it takes for you to easily read it plus 3 seconds (roughly). Another thing is if you have bits with no commentary, or important things the viewer should see, is to cut that out. Instead of recording your screen with a camera use a screen recorder such as OBS (a really good software) it makes it easier to see and hear the content you want to show. Lastly, for thumbnails, take a look at what some of your favorite RU-vid creators make, the colors, size of assets, and text really matter when spotting a video amongst the sea of content on RU-vid. Just a few key things I've learned along the way! Also wasn't sure if you use ai for some of the art in your thumbnails or if it's some sort of stock footage. Either way ai tends to get a bad rep from artists and such so I'd say away from using it if possible. Got to the end of the video and it sounds like you're really passionate about content creation keep it up and have a fun time while you're at it! :D

Great job Bro! I have been starting a RU-vid channel for over a year now and don't have my first video. One piece of advice I would give you if getting a light to hide the shadows on your faces when you are talking on the camera in your room. I love how casual your recordings of your computer screen to the transition of your face are.
@@SammyPaley Undiagnosed ADHD basically; I’m my own roadblock. Uncomfortable about how I sound on camera is probably the biggest factor. Funny how a few years ago I could give a military class in front of 300+ Soldiers, but now I can’t talk to a camera for 10 minutes.

0:23 I feel the same way about Kananaskis Golf Course. The air, the views, and the surroundings are so serene. During COVID times I was at the course 24 times a season. It’s my propitious place. No matter how good or bad I play, I never take it for granted. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to be out there playing. We all have 86,400 seconds in a day. It seems like a lot, but on average, we sleep about 28,800 seconds, so we have to make the remaining seconds count. As for Lachie, I would have told him local rules on an errand shot: lateral, drop the ball at the point of entry, don’t even bother looking with all the bears spotted recently and BOOM, a bear and cubs on your next shot. LOL, go figure. I’m interested to know if he’s a fan of the Hill Top Hoods. He said he listens to rap. 🙌 Great vlog! Interesting topic.
