Very nice. Seems to have a problem with the main sheet as he's always trying to untangle it or something. Looks like a great design all the same. Great boat.

it is a prolbem too much or too less wind and often only for 2 hours... But I live by the lake and see when the wind is coming. Its ok like that, i have to take what i get;)
@Paul Binder My german is non-existent, but I have recently purchased a boat similar to the iFly15 (it sails very well without a sailor onboard) and was wondering where you bought your retractable tether line.
Yeeehaww... right up until one hits something under the surface, then it’s YeeeHawww from the company when it sells you a whole new boat! 😲😉. Still, it’s a stunningly beautiful design and one that seems to work well!
this is another important differentiator about iFLY. The design anticipates this kind of incidents and keeps the damage after hitting an object or ground to a minimum. Our structural engineer achieved this by crash boxes behind the NC milled lower daggerboard bearings. In the case of a major accident, the daggerboards can be displaced by up to 15cm backwards. The energy is absorbed by the crash box. The hull is not damaged. iFLY daggerboards and foils are full carbon with titanium core structure. After a big crash, due to the crash box and the advanced quality of the foils, there will be not much more than minor esthetic damage on the trailing edge, that can be easily repaired within 1h. The lower bearing can be replaced within 10 minutes by opening 4 screws. We had one major accident with two sailors flying full speed on a sandbar in Key Biscayne, Florida. They went on flying after pulling the iFLY back in deeper water and kicking back the daggerboards in place. In the evening, all together it was a 3h repair to have all set for the next crash.

Idealerweise durch die Kausch in der Mitte des Trampolins nach unten führen, zwischen die beiden Lagen des Flügel-Trampolins. Den Abroller am Achterbeam befestigen. Eine solche Lash-line kann schon sinnvoll sein, wenn man die Grenzen austestet und alleine auf dem Wasser ist.
25/14 Turney 100cc eine 24/14 würde aber voll reichen auch für schwere Segler bis 23 kg ideal wären 10 s 2 p dann wäre er noch etwas leichter... Mit einem leomotion Motor 120 kv und einem dreiblatt Propeller.....
Ich hab sie gekauft mit einem AXI5345/20 HD und Fiala 23x10 an 12S. Sollte für Segler bis ca. 10 kg reichen und mit 14S für Segler bis 15 kg. Was denkst Du?
the FlySafe is there to support the sailor for stable flight, it is not there to make it a child's play. Foiling the iFLY is for sportive sailors who are ambitious to reach high speeds. In the case of iFLY, advanced engineering makes it accessible, but still, it is a racing machine, that will capsize, if you do a significant sailing mistake. By experience we know, that without flight control, foiling is too challenging for most sailors. Some people might enjoy looking at all those crashes shown in videos, but you don't want to be in that situation yourself. Loosing control does not feel nice. We prefer fast and sovereign foiling. :-) :-) :-)
Schön geflogen :-) Das mit dem Fahrwerk habe ich schon mehrmals gehört, dass es etwas schwach sei. Aber ein sehr schönes Flugzeug. Ich musste mich damals zwischen Camel (220cm) und diesem Dr1 entscheiden, hatte den Camel genommen. Aber wenn ich dieses hier sehe ..... :-) Das Setup würde mich auch interessieren. Wünsche schöne Flüge!
Wie habt Ihr das große Segelflugmodell gestartet? Ich habe gerade schöne Szenen vom Flug und gute Landungen gesehen. Ich fliege die 3,5m K8 von Phönix mit E-Motor meist 1 Stunde mit einer Akkuladung? EWD habe ich auch verringert Grüße aus der Steiermark Erwin
